Experienced attorney seeking clients in the areas of Social Security Disability and Estate Administration.
Since 1983, I have maintained and active solo legal practice providing representation to clients in many different types of cases including Social Security Disability and Unemployment Compensation Claims, Family Law Matters including divorce and child custody, Civil Litigation, Estate Administration and Small Business Transactions. Over these years, my practice has evolved to concentrate mostly in the areas of Social Security Disability and Estate Administration and also includes the preparation of wills and other legal documents. Our firm includes Beth Harwick, a full time paralegal and graduate of both Bloomsburg State University and the Lehigh Carbon Community College Paralegal Certificate Program. My office is conveniently located in Allentown where there is ample street parking and elevator services to our offices.
I have extensive legal experience in the area of Social Security Disability which includes applications for both Disability Insurance Benefits (often called DIB or SSD) and supplemental security income (SSI). I have represented clients seeking social security disability benefits at all levels of administrative and federal court review including hundreds of hearings before administrative law judges, the initial claims process before the Bureau of Disability Determination, appeals to the Social Security Appeals Council, US District Court and even to the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
Unlike some of the larger, high volume, media saturating groups that offer social security disability representation, I will be your experienced and personal legal advocate throughout your case. I will remain available to update your case as needed and to answer questions and I will never delegate your case to another attorney or paralegal.
My passion as a legal advocate for the disabled has also included appearing on television and presenting bar association seminars to discuss various social security disability issues. I am also an adjunct faculty member of the Lehigh Carbon Community College Paralegal Studies Program and have been teaching a course on social security disability practice since 2004. In addition, I am chairman of the Lehigh County Bar Association Social Security Disability Practice Committee. Our committee helps to educate interested bar association members in this practice area through meetings and seminars. I have also been a long time sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants and Representatives (NOSSCR) and regularly attend its national conferences for continuing legal education.
My estate administration practice has also grown over the years and has extended to estates both in Pennsylvania, where my practice is located, and in Florida where I am also admitted to practice law. My estate cases have involved both testamentary (under a will) and non testamentary (without a will) probate and have included disposition of such assets as real estate, mutual funds, stocks and bonds as well as regular bank accounts and personal property. My representation in estate administration cases also includes preparation and filing of the Pennsylvania inheritance tax return and, in most cases, submitting an informal accounting and settlement without the necessity of a court hearing.
