My family and I stayed here for the first time and we LOVED it! We have a 3 year old and 7 year old and we just had a tent however the tent site was spaced out nicely and we had plenty of room for our vehicle and canopy without feeling crowded. Our site was within walking distance of the bathrooms and a small park which the kids loved! All the activities we enjoyed were included in our stay. Bear paw beach was probably our favorite. The pool was also very clean and enjoyable. We enjoyed the drone show as well as the dance party before. There’s always something going on! The staff was very helpful and friendly and the coffee shop was a nice perk! Only thing we didn’t enjoy was that the restrooms by our site were very run down.. the womens bathroom only had one working hand dryer and one of the stalls was out of order leaving you with either the stall that wouldn’t lock or the stall that the door would get stuck or the one that the toilet rocked when you sat on it. twice when I was in there a little girl got stuck and had to crawl under the door. Two of the three showers were nice one of them the shower head was faulty and one didn’t drain very well.. I understand it’s a campground and it’s definitely not something that’s preventing us from going back just my honest review. See you next year! :
Camp ground is very nice but pricey. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Used to camp here a lot, first time back in a many years and paying double what used to pay. Enjoy spending time there. Great activities for the kids. Love the trick or treat weekends. Just wish it was more affordable for families. Playground: Have great playgrounds for the kids. Lots of slides and bounce pillows. Lots of fun Restrooms: Very clean Dog-friendliness: Dogs are always welcome. But please be curious and don't let them bark all day.
This was our first time at a Jellystone and I totally get what all the fuss is about now! Although I’m not sure if all locations have this much to do! We will have to be back because we didn’t even have time to do it all! The kids 9, 7,4 loved the pool and water park and spent the most time there. They enjoyed a hey ride, a craft, bingo, LOVED the dance party. I particularly enjoyed our night at Bear Paw Beach with drinks, live music, and the drone show, such a cool venue! We also loved that they had the Christmas light tunnel running by bear paw, which was playing music the lights were set to, we will have to be back at Christmas!! It was possibly the best maintained campground we’ve been to…and we’ve camped at Disney. I loved the theming, everything looked so cute! Love all the mature pine trees! Parts of it make me feel like we are camping in the 70s and I love it! While so many places are understaffed, this campground seemed to be so wonderfully staffed with camp counselor type teens running activities, people cleaning and picking up trash, and other odd duties. It was so well run! Our site was right in the action, but I can see how you could need a golf cart if you were by bear paw. We will be back!!
The best light display in town. Hands Down!! We have been coming here for the last 10 years and every year it gets better and better. Just off of Ryan road down 38 and you'll see a spectacular show. I guaranteed Your family will want to go around again. So many lights, too much to look at at 1 time, they're everywhere. I suggest to go early in the evening and you can take your time. no rush. And there's a little gift shop with food and cookies and you may even see Santa . It's a great way to start off the Christmas season.
Changed from 5 stars down to 2 due to current decisions from new management this year. Everyone should be aware that these are resort prices at a campground, but usually you could expect the activities and amenities to be worth it. The activities for Halloween were so disappointing. They had a wand making activity which last year had plenty of supplies for the kids to use, but this year kids were begging for a 4 inch piece of ribbon to decorate a toothpick. The following activities were also cheapened and less organized then prior years. We questioned the staff at these activities and they all had the answer "under new management" and there was nothing they could do. Don't worry though, all the add-ons for extra costs are still there and they had more. They are also building another obstacle course which we were told would be an extra cost next year. Something to look forward to? The new owners need to realize this isn't a state park for $30 a night and they need to spend more money on customers after they arrive.
First time camping there. Stayed in a premium pull through. Power post had 50, 30, and 2-15 amp plugs. Single water hose connection and single threaded sewer hookup. Concrete pull through with fire ring and picnic table. Site was level and very nice. Amenities of the campground were also very nice. Enjoyed the HEY Ride with the kids, play grounds were in multiple spaces so you didn't have to walk far. And the comfort stations were very clean and showers were nicely tiled. The campground pools were alot of fun for all ages. Definitely worth another stay by us in the future. The reason for the 4 star only rating was the fly problem. Our camper got quite a few inside and they were all over out picnic table outside. We stayed for 3 nights and had enough by the end. I realize this is camping and bugs are to be expected but not to this amount on an urban close campground. We realized the problem the second day, the premium sites from 1 to 5 are very close to the main dumpster for this entire complex. Once you got father away from it, the flies were severely diminished. This was the only dark spot on the nice trip. I would recommend this campground to others, but not site #1 through #5 if the fly problem isn't addressed. They could have sprayed the dumpster area to kill them off and not had them spread so far into the camp areas. Playground: Fun and modern. Restrooms: Very clean. Very nice. It's worth the premium price to have them at your disposal. Dog-friendliness: Lots of dogs around. Everyone kept them on a leash.
I've been going here for almost 10 years. Each year it gets less and less about real camping, but it's a good place to introduce little kids to camping that's still fun. Lots of activities, although airplanes fly over and it's close to a train. That's not that big of a problem though, I still really recommend it! Playground: Nice little playgrounds, a bigger one with a jumping pillow maybe a zipline thing too, not sure if it's still there. There's also a paid wibit floating jump thing that is paid. Restrooms: Restrooms are generally very clean for camping standards lol. Dog-friendliness: There's a tiny dog area, but at the very back of the main part of the campground like if you go all the way down on Yogi Bear boulevard I think it's called there's a nice big open area that's good for frisbee or other dog stuff. Picnic area: The campsites have good benches, and there are 3 pavillions I believe that all have lots of benches. Try the donuts on Sunday morning they have at the Cindy Bear pavilion, they're tasty and you can choose your topping. That's been a sort of tradition for us when we are about to leave on Sundays.
This place is a money pit. Their prices keep going up and keep adding ridiculous amounts of safety hazards to this park. In the past several years, many of the cabins have had bed bug infestations, while I'm sure guests have slept in them before the source was found. They try to be discrete about it but I have seen the pest control trucks come and go. These people keep adding golf carts to their campground, which cost an arm and a leg. People are recklessly driving these at all times of the day and even letting their kids drive them. Such eye sores to look at for a "campground". The communal showers and restrooms are filthy by the end of the day and run out of hot water. It seems likely that the young staff doesn't want to clean up the mess and leaves it for a manager. If that's the case, with all the money this place is making, they can surely pay their employees better. Safety: Poor safety
My family and I loved it. From the cabins, to the golf carts. We had a blast. They have cozy cabins with fire pits you can rent or you can pitch a tent. Halloween is a great time to stay with a haunted hay ride. Summer is also an ideal time to visit. There's a huge pool, ice cream shop and tons of family activities. I think they still have a drive through Christmas light show. Playground: They have a playground with wooden equipment and a metal slide. Restrooms: They have wheel chair accessible restrooms. Picnic area: They have many picnic areas.
If you are looking for a nice, highly awarded campground this one checks all the boxes. The biggest disappointment is they claim to be "family friendly." At Jellystone this means they love kids so much they charge additional for them any time they see an opportunity. I recently booked 4 campsites for June and was surprised they still had vacancy considering most campgrounds are full by now. We then needed to cancel. They charged me over $100 in cancellation fees. All sites were paid in full by one credit card. I tried to reason with them explaining if it was four separate credit cards I would understand. This was one credit card so one cancellation fee. They also charge additional money for the inflatables as a guest of the campground. They also charge you an additional $25 per site of you want the exact site you booked. Clearly if I went through the work of booking 6 months in advance and booking 4 sites in a row it goes without saying we want the sites we booked. The good news is we can have them for an extra $25 per site!!! It is a nice campground with lots of amenities, but you can do a lot of family activities elsewhere when your talking $500-$1000 for a weekend there. Best of luck in not pricing your self out of your own market. We have camped for many years. Do your research their are many nice campgrounds with many of the same amenities for half the price. We will never return!
