The employees who work there are all very nice but make sure and you make your reservation online and don’t do it over the phone. Maybe it’s an isolated event, but I thought I had my site and when I asked about paying up for the next 28 days, they told me that I had to move out of my spot because somebody booked it through the website and they have to honor that. So just be sure that you do your reservations online and you will be fine. It’s clean, and pretty much all higher end rigs. . .quiet.
We went this weekend and stayed in the yogi bear cabin. First thing is that our cabin didn’t not match the cabin pictures on the website. The ones on the website are updated, ours was not. Cabin was good though and fairly priced. On check out though our friends went to play mini golf before leaving at check out at 11. They came back to their cabin at 10:15 to find the housekeeping staff going through their stuff and possibly eating their food. On Saturday we found poop in the heated pool and alerted the staff right away and they came quickly and cleaned it up and shut down the pool for 2 hours. The water park was way too cold to play in for us or our daughter. The bowling alley didn’t work and we wasted money on it before reading a sign that says they are not responsible for the machines or if you lose any money. I would recommend them just closing them if they aren’t working so their customers dont waste their money on them. Also, my cousins rented a golf cart and someone else took it on the first night because the same keys work in all the same golf carts. It is not very car friendly area, almost like they want to force you to buy a golf cart. Overall we had a good time.
It is a fun place to take your family. The Halloween festivities are the best! Some staff needs an attitude adjustment but others are amazing. I hear they have raised their prices in the last week. That knocks a lot of families from enjoying this park!Rooms: 5/5
We have stayed several weeks. It's a great property overall. While it is really designed for families, we enjoyed it as well. The pool and hot tub are nice, but crowded. The mini golf is very well laid out and easy to access. Great fitness center, clean and nice variety of equipment. Nice laundry facilities. We were moved to a premium site 525 after our original site was found flooded due to a water leak. There was no hesitation in taking care of us. However, this row 525 is pretty tight to get into, so we probably wouldn't recommend trying it with a 40' class A like ours. Once we got into the site, we loved it! Beautiful gas fire pit, lovely outdoor furniture and gas grill. Next time we come we will book site 511, which has the amenities and a bit more space. The noise from the highway, trains and the resort are less in this area of the resort. Come prepared to walk hills, ride a bike or drive a golf cart getting around the large resort. Things are spread out.
I stayed here over the weekend for a family reunion. Staff were very nice to us. Resort is pretty big so there is plenty to do throughout the day. The map that was given wasn’t very helpful. Water park was very packed but still so much fun. The overall atmosphere felt like a home away from home. Thank you Jellystone for being so kind to allow my large family to have our reunion. Hope to come back someday. Nearby activities: Fitness center, water park, 2 different pool locations for kids and adults respectively. Sports areas volleyball, pickle ball, tennis. Walkability: Everything is within walking distance of your cabin/RV. Golf carts are also available for rent. Food & drinks: Cafe with a fair selection of food. Bar has lots of drink options.
Management of the golf carts needs to get it together including maintenance of golf carts. We booked one when we made our RV reservation for 2 days and when we went to pick it up they said they didn't have any that they either overbooked or they were broke down. The staff at Ranger station needs to be trained on customer service to be more friendly. The bathrooms/showers weren't very clean. The camp spot we were in was a nice spot and withing walking distance to the rec center and the crafts were fun to do as a family. Food & drinks: The snacks and drinks were all pretty good
This was a great place for our entire family! Our kids range from 16 to 4 and all of them had a blast. Clean bath houses, 2 great pools to enjoy, lots of activities- we were never bored! We actually left exhausted. We loved being out in nature and on a mountain. I definitely recommend renting a golf cart so you can get around camp and explore. Nearby activities: Bowling, mini golf, swimming, park, doggy park, basketball courts, pickball courts, biking, hiking, outdoor movies, crafts, bingo, water park Walkability: Walking up the mountain Food & drinks: Store, mini drink trucks, bar at the pool
This place was brutal this weekend. Take a look at the pic from Saturday. The pic doesn't do it justice, it was packed so bad and the water felt dirty and slimy. . They charge for every little thing here. It's exhausting. If they find a way to take another penny- you can bet way they will do it. It starts immediately at sign up online with the whole extra charge to keep your space. . They want you to pay extra to keep your space. If you don't, they purposefully move you away from the people you signed up to be next too. Again, another way to make money at the cost of convenience and comfort. It's really bad. . They are very understaffed and can't possibly keep up with the demand. Yet they continue to rent out all they can regardless of lack of staff. The pool was actually dangerous and they are going to be looking at a lawsuit if they don't get more staff in there. No food or drink in the pool area, yet they don't open the snack bar until the afternoon and they didn't have enough people there either, so you had to wait in line forever. Pic of that too.
This was our first time to this location and we were very impressed. We are full timers and work campers and enjoy visiting new campgrounds. We were here just for one night and it was great. Our original site was essentially blocked by some guests in a cabin across the road making it impossible for us to get our toy hauler into the site. The front desk lady was impressively nice and accommodating in getting us quickly into a new site. Our site was clean and well kept. We walked the entire park and it was the same everywhere. You can tell the staff take pride in their park. The green chili burger at the club house was amazing. Cons: The upper pool/hot tub was an absolute mad house with zero staff keeping watch. We saw lots of glass bottles being used and left lying around. Kids running full speed on the edge of the pool and diving into the hot tub. This is very dangerous. People speeding through the park on motor cycles, scooters, and vehicles right past staff and no one slowing them down. 5.5mph speed limit that is not being enforced. We saw a few close calls on our walk. Be very careful driving through the park. Lots of small kids on bikes weaving around vehicles extremely fast. This place is amazing and we will be back. It’s an amazing place. Wished the rules were enforced more for everyone’s safety. Especially for all the kids running around here.
The cabins are beautiful but we won't be back. My biggest complaint is customer service. Our first night the TV in our cabin wasn't working. We called the ranger station a few times and got no answer or call back. Finally, the after-hours guy came and fixed the TV after about 3 hours of asking. The next problem was that our cabin was stocked for 4 people and we had 6. So there wasn't enough dishes or towels. My biggest complaint is that I took the little girls that were with me to the rec center. They had to use the restroom, so I took them. While the girls were in the bathroom, a male staff member entered to clean. I tried to ask him to wait till the little girls came out, but he ignored me and proceeded to enter the women's room while my girls were using it. It was completely inappropriate! The next day, one of the girls had a belly ache. I locked her in our cabin, gave her a phone, and went to grab her a ginger ale from the gift shop. On my way back, she called and said the cleaners just came in without knocking and scared her. She's 10. I should have been able to leave her without someone scaring her. I was gone less than 10 minutes. It was 915am! Check out is 11. The kids loved the water park, but it's not unique, and I will find another place with fun activities for kids that has better customer service for our next trip. Rooms: The rooms are very nice but could be stocked better. Safety: My kids did not feel safe because the staff was disrespectful of their personal space.
