I took a tour of the funeral and crematorium. Everyone was very nice, friendly and informative. The place itself is absolutely gorgeous. The elevators are handy when it comes to my wheelchair I was able to access everything I used. The womens bathroom was very clean and spacious, I was able to manuever quite easily. Learning about the process of death and disinternment was fascinating. Cremation especially I find interesting and I love all the creative things they can do with ashes. This Funeral home is the real deal. It doesn't have it's own cemetary but there is one very close by. The staff seemed very warm and empathetic, that they take helping people through their hardest days very seriously and put a lot into being there for the family as they take care of the remains. The whole place was absolutely gorgeous. I was impressed. I have more pics to add!
We are so appreciative of Jenkins-Soffe and all they did to assist our family in planning and carrying out the funeral services for a sudden and unexpected death in our family. None of us had ever planned a funeral service before and we really didn’t know where to start. Jenkins-Soffe was there to help every step of the way. The funeral home is beautiful. The memorial page on their website is beautiful. There were several extras that just went above and beyond, like taking pictures of all the flower arrangements and cards and posting them to the memorial page. We hope to not have to use them again any time soon, but if we do find ourselves in this position again, we would be glad to use them again.
I can't think of a single thing that I would have them do differently about the handling of my mother's passing. They accommodated all of our requests with pleasure, while maintaining a respectful but not smarmy or patronizing demeanor. My sister wanted to play a complex nocturne by Chopin, but was out of practice. They let her come in two days for hours at a time to allow her to practice on the same piano she would be playing in the service. Since she was being cremated, we requested no embalming, and the prepared body looked very good six days after death. They recorded the service, streamed it for those not present and made it available online for us. The camera work was professional, framing the focus of attention at all times, yet the camera was entirely invisible. The total cost was also reasonable, especially given the quality of service.
With the passing of my mother I had no clue as to what arrangements needed to be made and the staff at Jenkins-Soffe were amazing! They took such great care of my mother and made sure we were well taken care of in every way. From their gentle, loving transportation efforts and tender ways of treating all of us through the paperwork and final arrangements, we felt important. Thank you for your kind thoughts and deeds through this trying time of my life.
From the first time we contacted Jenkins-Soffe funeral home, we were so impressed. They took the time and care to make sure they answered any questions we had and give us comfort during this hard time. They were professional and empathetic. I would recommend them a thousand times over.
Within 18 months both my parents passed away and I cannot thank Blake, Jordan and their team of compassionate members who took care of my beloved parents. The sacredness, as well as the professionalism made these difficult situations manageable. I appreciate their friendship so much and thank them from the bottom of our hearts.
With the passing of my husband, I needed to get things started for a place to have a viewing and cremation. It was my first pick and Justin answered. Talking with him made me feel so comforting. I didn't break down in hysterical crying!! I ended up having Jenkins-Soffe complete the services for my husband. It was without a doubt, a wonderful service. They are very understanding and make the entire package without worry for you. Even tho I cried or tears came to my eyes, I felt safe that no one there would do wrong. Love to you Jenkins-Soffe staff and thank you.
I have worked with Jenkins-Soffe several times through my catering business. They also did the services for one of my best friends who passed away unexpectedly. I can honestly say every single person I've met there has been very professional as well as truly kind, caring and compassionate. Their building in South Jordan is absolutely beautiful and the nicest mortuary I've ever been in. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to everyone I know.
We recently had to experience the tragic passing of a son of some dear friends and neighbors. No one ever wants to have to experience such a loss but the folks at Jenkins and Soffe helped make the tragity as wonderful as possible. The viewing was well organized and we felt the spirit and and strength of a loveing Heavenly Father. There were so many people in attendance but you really didn’t notice as the line moved smoothly, comfortably and, most importantly, with love and respect for the family having to deal with such heart ache. I highly recommend Jenkins and Soffe; Jordan and Blake were amazing and they felt like family after our experience with them over two days.
There is NO other funeral home that compares with Jenkins Soffe. They have taken care of many friends as well as many family members. Kurt , Lynette are the most amazing people. This is a well known family business originally from Murray. Their building is beautiful and I highly recommend them.
