As an Equine Assisted Psychotherapist, trained in the EAGALA method, I offer therapeutic interventions with horses that are non-invasive, non-threatening, and promote healing. Using research proven methods, I take a holistic approach meeting the individual where they are at. I am an Expressive Arts Therapist and Equine Assisted Psychotherapist, utilizing many different tools during sessions. Equine sessions may include~use of metaphors to increase emotional safety and depth of emotional and behavioral exploration~ art and music to assist in expression and processing emotions and events~ sensory work to heal and encourage long term change in brain pathways ~ meditation, guided visualization, and mindfulness for assisting with healing.
I specialize in working with victims of abuse and violence, individuals who have experienced a traumatic event, mindfulness and transpersonal experiences, work with treatment centers for addictions, mental conditions and eating disorders.
