Jerry's Corner in Philadelphia, PA is a indoor mini mall of various shops and business. There is also a flea market held every Sat. and Sun. year round, that specializes in the selling of furniture, tv’s, sound systems, for living rooms, bedrooms, vehicles, services and much more.
If you are getting to Jerry’s Corner from Passyunk Avenue in South Philadelphia, you’ll have to cross a short bridge that separates South Philly from Southwest. If you’ve never been there before, you should get into the right lane as soon as you’re on the bridge, and put your right turn signal on.
As you are coming off the bridge, start slowing down as the parking lot entrance is not very visible and kind of sneaks up on you. You’ll see The Purple Orchid bar/club at the corner. The parking lot entrance is before the club. If you miss that entrance, don’t panic. Just make a right onto 61st and another quick, sharp right into the other entrance.
If you are approaching Jerry’s Corner from 61st Street, be careful when pulling in as it is very close to the corner where cars turn onto 61st from Passyunk. (It’s where you’d turn if you missed the Passyunk entrance.) If a car is going a little too fast, or the driver is not paying attention, he or she might not have enough time to stop should you still be in the street.
