The Jersey City Global Charter School was granted its charter on January 2012 by the NJ Commissioner of Education. The school is open for enrollment for the 2013-2014 school year and will provide a free and academically rigorous education for grades K-3.
The JCGCS education program is built upon Common Core State and New Jersey Curriculum Standards and is aligned with the state's assessment program. Core to our educational philosophy is the belief that every student is an active participant both inside and outside the classroom. Our unique way of teaching students about how the world works is to reconstruct the world inside our school.
