The Jersey Job Bank began its fight against injustice on June 8, 2009, with a public protest at a new school construction site on the corner of Elm and Washington Streets in Montclair, NJ. The protest was in reaction to the failure of the Montclair Board of Education to acknowledge and adhere to the Affirmative Action policies and procedures established by the State of New Jersey and the Federal government.
