We love Jerusalem and have been members for many years. What's most important to us is how well the Bible and it's teachings are proclaimed and taught throughout everything they do. The pastor is extremely well trained and sticks to God's Word and his teachings for us as his people. The atmosphere is friendly and open to any and all visitors. If you don't have a church home, we highly recommend checking Jerusalem out on a Sunday morning.
There is no such thing as a perfect church on Earth. This being said, Jerusalem Lutheran Church is one of the best churches in Illinois. The members prayed for me when I had a life threatening illness. One member drove me to and from the hospital to get surgery. When I had trouble, the pastor visited me at home and straightened out the situation. All the members go out of their way to be kind and considerate. Their school offers an excellent education for preschoolers starting at age three and grade school through eighth grade in a safe and loving setting. There is also an aftercare program from three in the afternoon to 5:00 p.m. I highly recommend the church, and I am grateful to be a member.
I love this church!! Jerusalem is more than just a church; it is a family gathered around the Word of God. We have been members here for a little over 6 years and our son goes to the school. We are so thankful we found this wonderful church and school. Come join us!!
We've been going to Jerusalem Lutheran for about 3 years, and we absolutely love it! We tried a handful of churches in the surrounding area before becoming members at Jerusalem. The teachings are sound and Biblically based, the congregation is welcoming, and our children love the Sunday School program. Definitely worth a visit!
Joining Jerusalem in 2019 was one of the best decisions we have ever made as a family. It has been refreshing to be at a church focused on God’s word and not on political topics. Pastor Ernest is great and we have really felt welcomed by the whole Jerusalem community.
Jerusalem Lutheran is wonderful place for worship. The people are humble and friendly. I always feel welcome. The principal, Chiseon is an amazing leader that the kids respect in so many ways.
Jerusalem is a very welcoming and friendly church home. They offer multiple worship times, Bible study, and Sunday School classes, and the services are streamed online for those who can’t attend in person.
Have always found this church to be very welcoming. Guests are always greeted and welcomed. Services are grounded in clear scripture and biblical messages, explained in relatable terms. Throughout Covid have offered variety of in-person as well as remote options for both church and bible classes. Great option for families with many options for engagement as well as a school.
Jerusalem is a wonderful place to worship and increase the spiritual life of yourself and the whole family, with multiple services, Bible classes, a Sunday school, and a Christian day school from Pre-K thru 8th grade. We love it here!
Jerusalem Lutheran is a welcoming church that teaches the word of God in a direct and understandable way. They care about each other, you and others while directing your focus on Christ Love.
