The right therapist is very important. You deserve someone who is going "to get you" and really hear what you are going through.
I enjoy working with a range of age groups. I feel grateful to have the ability to relate to others well. I truly enjoy people and have 20 years of clinical experience to bring to my practice. My background includes 16 years in private practice, work in hospital settings, Inpatient psychiatric facilities, Group Homes, Long Term Care, Subacute, and Homecare and Hospice Services.
I offer a casual set up and consider myself "'down to earth" and use humor in my sessions. Creativity is important to me. Art, role playing, and a host of other unique methods are also fun and effective to use. I try to make our time together both productive and enjoyable.
I offer a safe place where you can be free of any preconceived notions or judgments. My responsibility is to help you be who you want to be, not who anyone else feels you "should "be.
I do have one self -appointed staff member and that is my dog, "Allie." She often joins us during our sessions, but I promise she maintains complete confidentiality!
