Grieving the loss of a parent is extremely difficult & having to make their final burial arrangements even more difficult. Jeter Funeral Home displayed sympathy & the utmost respect to my sister, Sheryl & I as we made arrangements through them for our mother’s service & burial at another funeral home’s cemetery. Greg Jeter and his staff made this difficult experience much easier for us & we are eternally grateful. Our mother was beautiful thanks to Jeter Funeral Home. Thank you, Greg & your staff!
My sister and I are grateful for the staff of Jeter Funeral Home. Throughout the funeral process for our mother, Greg Jeter and his staff treated us as family. Greg worked hard to make our time of grieving less difficult. The entire experience with Jeter Funeral Home was professional. I do not post reviews often, but Jeter Funeral Home earned my review. Greg Jeter deserves 10 stars.
The entire staff is truly a God send. They treat you as your own family while you are going through one of the hardest events of your life. Nothing but dignity in everything they do. Our family is very appreciative for all of the help and support. Greg Jeter loves what he does and takes pride in everything he does. He makes the process as easy as it can be. When the time comes in your life for a love one to pass, I highly recommend you go see him.
I am not typically one to call out a company and this topic is uncomfortable but in an effort to spare another family, here we go. My Dad died last month and we needed to have him picked up and transported to Los Angeles where he was being laid to rest. The work we needed to be done here Houston was a very small part of the entire burial process and I was told to contact a local funeral home to arrange the Houston end of it. I got the name of Jeter Funeral Home in Friendswood. Death is an expensive thing but what these people did was called "criminal" by three different funeral homes. They gave us a quote of nearly $6,000.00 for services that actually ended up costing us under $700. I think they knew we were grieving and a bit ignorant to the process and decided to cash in. I understand they're a business but to charge a family nearly TEN times the industry standard is outrageous. Its been nearly a month and they have been given a chance to explain and chosen not to do so. In fact, they will not even return a phone call. If this is how they treat the living, can you imagine how they treat the dead? When you are grieving the loss of a loved one it's hard to know who to trust but I assure you, I do not trust Jeter Funeral Home. It is not just my opinion that this was really terrible but also the opinion of three other funeral homes & their directors. I hope you never find yourself in our position but if you do get more than one quote and ask questions.
Christy and Greg were absolutely amazing. I truly cannot thank them enough for their compassionate listening and understanding, efficiency and affordable services they provided to me during this traumatic time in my life. I HIGHLY recommend Mr. Jeter and his staff!
A caring staff and comfortable place to trust with your service. They will help you handle everything and don’t push you into anything you don’t want. The atmosphere is friendly and loving. We would recommend them to anyone who is in need of arrangements for their loved one.
Jeter Funeral Home took an incredibly difficult situation and made it work well. The truly exceptional thing, however, is the work they did in preparing my mother for viewing. Long ago I had a couple of experiences with bad work and ended up no longer being able to participate in anything that involved viewing. The distorted, strange 'prepared' body could not be my last image. But with my mother, everyone that saw her kept talking about how much it looked like her, and how genuinely beautiful and realistic she looked. So finally, I gave it a chance and went to the open casket with my son. It was amazing! Nothing looked 'fake' or cartoonish. She truly looked like herself - at rest. So they made it possible for me to do something I haven't done in decades, and I was not left regretting it! Very talented people at Jeter, in every respect. I highly recommend them and am grateful someone recommended them to me.
I would never use this funeral home. Very unprofessional. Very rude and did not help the situation actually made things worse. They have been turned into the BBB and to Texas Funeral Service Commission. I hope no one is talked to the way my husband and I was talked to by the staff.
The owner and staff are very proactive in communicating each step along the way. Their empathy throughout the process made the arrangements easier to complete. Very warm service and I recommend them in the highest regard.
Very organized and clean. The atmosphere is of peace and serenity.
