I paid for the year subscription for delivery. What a mistake! They consistently send me expired meats, mushy fruits and vegetables, and I’m almost always missing items. This week I had an order of 20 items. I received EIGHT. Then I had to reorder the missing items for delivery on august 7th. I was sent chicken that had expired august 5th. And the entire order showed up frozen, even my cucumbers that were inedible. Almost every time I order I end up going to the grocery store anyways. I 100% do not recommend their pickup or delivery service. Meijer uses shipt and they always do a fantastic job.
This is my local quick go to. It's right buy a little bit of everything in the area. I wish they had a larger sushi selection though. But the staff there is amazing and always helpful when am having trouble finding something.
I got a nice 9 pound spiral sliced ham for approximately $8! Perfect for the holiday weekend. As usual, the deli was great! Stocked with all kinds of tempting foods. I got a yummy cheese tray, a satisfying poke bowl, but unfortunately, no tamales.
I normally shop in Crystal Lake Jewel. I was in McHenry, so I stopped at this store. I was so pleasantly surprised. This store was clean, bright, service personnel were all over maintaining the store. They were pleasant and helpful. The stores layout was nice, it was not tight to move around, shelves full, fruits and vegetable section was clean, full and easy to maneuver. Check out was quick and the two associates , checker and the bagger were very efficient and pleasant. I am a bit of a drive away from this store, but if in town, this would be a preferred grocery store.
Dark and dirty.. 7 people waiting in the deli department with one slow man.. I asked the old grey-haired lady by the fried Chicken if she could help out and she told me a flat-out no way.... And she wasn't frying chicken Small store with many unhappy employees.... And terribly terribly overpriced... Everything these days are half the size and twice the amount.... Back to Aldi's
I almost exclusively do my grocery shopping at this Jewel-Osco. Super friendly folks work there, and I have never once had anything less than a pleasant shipping trip there. They double-bag everything for me and load my groceries I to my car. I am disabled so that is hugely helpful. Jewel also goes WAY over the tip, in a good way, hiring folks that may have some challenges. That means SOOOO much to me. GREAT people are what make a business great, and Jewel is GREAT.
I was in the store yesterday..As I was shopping..I repeatedly heard a lady presumably the front desk woman calling for assistance to the front. I finally get to the self checkout area and she is now on the phone..speaking to another employee. She's YELLING at them to come up front to DEAL W THIS GUY. And that she has been dealing w him for the last 20 minutes. Still yelling as I turn and see this poor OLD MAN ...slowly walking away...he seemed to have had an accident in his pants. Tell me PLEASE.........WHAT KIND OF PERSON HUMILIATES A POOR OLD MAN..IN FRONT OF A STORE FULL OF PEOPLE....INSTEAD OF OFFERING HIM HELP!!!?! Shame on you lady!!!!! How pathetic can you be!!! What if that was your father or grandfather!!!
I will give 4 stars because they vacuum their potatoes but I can't believe how high their prices are. A package of brioche buns is 6.99 here and I saw the same product for 3.99 at a store 5 minutes away. If you can afford to shop here you will be presented with clean potatoes.
Friendly and helpful staff. Exceptional selection of goods. Quick and easy. Always clean and organized. Never had a problem with these guys. Definitely a place to check if your in town and don’t want to make a trip all the way to walmart
Just wanted to revise my original review. They corrected the mistake instantly, The store & bakery manger were very responsive and made a ew cake within hours.
