Very clean, organized store with friendly employees. The produce is very fresh and well cared for. Good variety. Prices are high though, the sales help some but when the parent company is reporting record profits you have to wonder about the reason for those higher prices.
I would like to thank Tom N and Donna team manager for excellent customer service they have provided. I have been Jewels customer since 2003 and always had great experience shopping there. Best Jewel Osco in the area!!!
This Jewel is pretty nice. Always clean. Can typically find someone to help as needed. Mostly shop the sales as the prices are higher than some other stores otherwise sometimes
GO TO WOODMAN'S INSTEAD: Let me explain! This grocery store is not bad but not good. It's not bad because it makes Elk Grove not become a food desert. Its not good because it's over priced. Seriously most of us own cars. So I truly recommend going to woodman's grocery store instead. Its 15 to minutes away from this store. I promise you that you will save a minimum of 20% on your total bill and that's after switching your GMO, corn syrup, with a dash of poisonous natural flavors, and preservetive filled food to organic and none gmo food versions. Not only will you save on your food but you will also save money on gas. They sell gas at a price that will make you cringe when getting gas anywhere else. And it's not low quality gas were you get lower MPG. Which is what I find my results when not goiny to Bp, Mobile or Shell. I get the same MPG in both of our vehicles with there gas as those top tier gas stations. I challenge you to call b.s. but I know you won't be able too. Now put your savings from each visit in a jar and at the end of the year, you'll have the money to take your loved ones to a great vacation you've always dreamed of taking them. They are also a family owed business with profit sharing program that all employees benefit from. Truly a win, win. It's a no brainer.
Dec 30, 2022 One of the employees didn’t wash his hands after using a bathroom and he was on toilet. I saw him working with a cashier putting groceries in the bags. Young guy, black hair, pale skin. 6:25 pm.
Has been my go to grocery store since I moved into the area about 3 months ago. Prices aren't to bad. Facility is always relatively clean. Plenty of options. And staff is always helpful.
Sharing on behalf of my father his bad experience this evening with the night manager. My father went to try to exchange a gallon of milk he bought the night before and didn’t realize until he got home it was expired since 09/07/2022. Mind you, he forgot his receipt to show proof of purchase so I know that didn’t help there but he at least showed the pending transaction on his bank account. It wasn’t so much monetary as the reason but to alert that they have expired product being sold. He went back anyways to buy another gallon and to his surprise their was ANOTHER EXPIRED MILK with the same DATE 09/07/2022 followed by a fresh gallon. At that point it he made it known again to the same manager who was walking an isle known. Please make sure you double check your milk before buying before you have to go thru an ordeal like my father.
Jewel's staff is very friendly. The Elk Grove Village store has done a great job of offering more plant-based items and having them on sale. Thank you!
My husband and I go to this store very often as we moved to Elk Grove and this is the closest grocery store we have. This location always keeps fresh food, always have good bakery options and clean.
During my short and quick visit to this Jewel, I noticed how clean and organized this location was, compared to some others. While I was only there for 4-5 minuets I thoroughly enjoyed my shopping experience.
