I have gone to Alex in Great Neck for many years, for watch repairs, batteries and the occasional gift. I also used Alex for a few jewelry repair jobs, but recently he custom made a new engagement ring for my wife for our 20th anniversary. She was very happy with it! The pictures don't do it justice. Alex did a great job resizing my engagement ring and also fixing my husband’s watchband. On both occasions he was very professional and accommodating. Alex is very knowledgeable about his craft, about history and beyond. He listens intently and is genuinely interested in pleasing. He is honest and reasonable with a nice personality and a great sense of humor. It is a pleasure to visit his shop and I recommend him most highly.

I brought match in twice for repair . The first time was for a battery change went well he then proceeded to tell me that the last person who changed the battery put the wrong watch battery in he replaced and corrected the battery issue. Recently I brought my watch in to have the stem repaired. They are reasonably priced. Very customer friendly and their follow up is very professional. Highly recommend this establishment for repairs and purchases.

I can’t say enough about Alex’s craftsmanship and artistry. I’ve been a client for more than 15 years and he has done everything from changing watch batteries, jewelry repair to creating matching diamond pendant necklaces for my 3 granddaughters. I have referred many of my friends and relatives to Alex and I have always had positive feedback.

Alex made the engagement ring I proposed with last week. All I had to do was to cut out the picture my girlfriend keept on looking at in the magazine and give him my budget. He made the custom ring just like the picture in just 2 weeks and it was perfect, and at a small fraction of the price the ring in the magazine was selling for. She was so impressed! I did mess up with the ring size, but he resized the ring at no charge. I highly recommend Alex especially for custom made jewelry. He can make anything just from a picture, and save you so much money! Thank you Alex!

I've been wearing my fathers watch ever since he passed away 4 years ago. It started missing more and more time for the past year. I took it to several jewelers to get an estimate on how much was going to cost to have it fixed, and I was quoted outrageous prices each time with no guarantee that my fathers watch would even be running on time again. My friend suggested I see Alex in Great Neck. He was knowledgeable and very reasonable. He told me all the different reasons the watch was missing time and how much would it cost to fix in each case. After one week I got my fathers watch back and to my surprise, I was charged the lowest quote I was given by Alex for the repair. It's hard to find an honest man these days. How would I even know what actually was wrong with the watch? Alex could have overcharged me but he didn't. Now he has a l'Italia customer for life.

Alex did an amazing job resizing a bracelet that was too big. After working on the braclet it was still too big even though he sized it to the length I had asked for. Alex told me he would resize the braclet again free of charge. I am incredibly happy with the work that Alex did and will definitely go back again.

Alex has been my jeweler for years! He just made me a beautiful 5.0 ct tennis bracelet! Just one of the many beautiful things he has made for me!
