Jewish Family Service of Colorado (JFS) believes in strengthening the community by providing vital services to people in need. Founded in 1872, JFS is a nonsectarian, nonprofit human services agency serving metro Denver and Boulder. JFS helps seniors live independently at home, provides quality mental health counseling, offers training and job placement to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and other people with barriers to employment, and provides food and financial aid to people in crisis. Every year, the agency benefits more than 24,000 people of all ages, faiths, and incomes.

Programs and services include:
Boulder JFS: Boulder JFS is a program of The Jay and Rose Phillips Senior Solutions Center, which provides a variety of programs to help older adults stay active, healthy, independent and supported. Boulder JFS provides Boulder-area seniors, their families, adults with disabilities, and individuals in crisis with services and programs based on Jewish values.
Family Safety Net: JFS Family Safety Net Services assists people in crisis while promoting long-term self-sufficiency and preventing homelessness. We provide individuals and families in crisis with food, limited emergency financial assistance, care management, employment support, and information and referrals.
Jewish Disabilities Advocates: Jewish Disabilities Advocates (JDA) provides a single-point-of-entry to case management, information and referral, recreational activities, and Jewish cultural and educational opportunities for Jewish individuals with disabilities, and provides associated services to their families. JDA supports Jewish agencies in their work to include people with disabilities at their own facilities by providing resources, information, and educational workshops.
Mental Health Services: Jewish Family Service partners with clients, families, and the community to create opportunities to achieve life balance and emotional wellness and stability. Our team of skilled mental health professionals is committed to helping, improving, and making a difference in the lives of those struggling with mental health issues, from depression to posttraumatic stress, to loss, to family and relationship issues.
JFS Group Home: A group home from adults with disabilities, which currently houses eight adult residents and helps them reach their full potential while enjoying a Jewish cultural atmosphere and active social lives.
JFS Senior Solutions: The Jay and Rose Phillips Senior Solutions Center provides a variety of programs and services to help older adults stay active, healthy, independent, and supported. Our programs and services help older adults stay comfortably in their homes, where they want to be.
SHALOM Denver: Provides employment and training to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and other people with barriers to employment. The facility handles packaging, printing, small parts assembly, handwork, and mailing needs.
Volunteer Services: JFS offers a variety of volunteer opportunities in all of the above areas.
Weinberg Food Pantry: Assists families and individuals facing hunger and food insecurity. For some, the pantry helps them through an emergency, for others the pantry ensures their families health and nutrition.
