•Sponsors programs, exhibits and tours that make Jewish history a personal adventure for all and leave adults and youth feeling greater pride in their Jewish identity.
•Cooperates with the State of Michigan to erect permanent historical markers, highlighting events of Jewish history.
•Maintains www.michjewishhistory.org, which features 50 years of digitized copies of Michigan Jewish History, resource links and community activities.
•Reaches out to make connections with Jewish communities throughout the state as well as with other historical organizations and museums.
•Maintains the Jewish Yearbook Collection and Database, a physical and electronic storehouse of hundreds of yearbooks from high schools throughout Michigan.
The Jewish Historical Society of Michigan is the only organization in the state dedicated exclusively to the preservation and commemoration of our past. Our work ensures that future generations will know their heritage and history.
