We are a Federally Qualified Health Center dedicated to delivering healthcare, health access, and education to the underserved and uninsured populations.

Description

Established as the nation's first faith-based Federally Qualified Health Center, the Jewish Renaissance Medical Center (JRMC) offers a comprehensive range of primary health care. JRMC also offers free assistance to those who need to enroll in the New Jersey Health Insurance Marketplace. Our services are available to all who need them, regardless of economic means, citizenship status, or insurance status.

JRMC operates its primary preventative services out of the Robert Menendez Medical Arts Building in Perth Amboy. Here, we offer adult, pediatric, women's wellness, dental, behavioral, and nutrition services, as well as special programs tailored to the health needs of our community.

Through our Newark School-Based Health Centers Program, a collaborative effort with Newark's public school system, we have established JRMC clinics in 7 schools dispersed throughout Newark. Find out more about our in-school health clinics here: http://www.nps.k12.nj.us/resources/jrmc/

JRMC also runs two mobile command units. Our first unit, an extension of the Center for Community Dentistry, is designed to provide the full range of dental care to high-risk patients. Our second vehicle, an extension of the Strong and Healthy Communities Initiative, is equipped to offer medical, dental, and behavioral care to underserved communities throughout Newark. My name is Juanita Hall and I'm a patient of the Dental services at the Jewish Renaissance Center. Dr. Rubinstein is a gem in my humble opinion. He is attentive, professional and when I ask questions he responds so I understand and don't feel stupid. He is a compliment to his profession. The ladies in the front are also wonderful. They are very accommodating and work to give appointments that work for me. I don't know their names as they are different the several times I've been there. Two of my realitives recommended your facility to me and they weren't wrong. Your staff takes pride in their work and it's very noticeable. Keep up the good work and thank you. Dr Cynthia v was the most nastiest rudest woman I've met in my life she wouldn't give me Suboxone to keep me off certain things and I relapsed because of her not giving me my scripts highly don't recommend this women she's one of the bad ones you hear about. And I know for a fact she gives people their scripts even when they piss dirty so she's also a hypocrite. You'd be better off with a monkey
Due to some bad reviews, I was quite skeptical when my appointment was getting closer and closer. But I was taught better at the appointment. You should make your own experiences. I was put off by all the bad reviews, but I'm glad I chose this OB/Gyn after all. Right from the start I was very positively surprised. I'm from Germany and I also speak English, but not with the vocabulary of a doctor's visit. Everything was explained to me calmly and patiently at reception, even when I kept having new questions. I have absolutely no experience with charity care, but everything was explained to me very well there too. Point by point, step by step. Due to some women's problems, I first went to an OB/gyn private doctor. Due to the high cost, I inquired about various OB/Gyns and decided that the doctor most likely to have an appointment available I would make an appointment and it was the Hospital Jewish Renaissance. After that was clarified with Charity Care, the nurse asked me for my ultrasound Result from the other doctor, but I didn't have it with me. But she just said relaxed, no problem, I'll call and have it sent to me. I just thought "Have fun, because there was rarely anyone there. What can I say, 5 minutes later she had my ultrasound Result in her hand and I just made huge eyes. Then it was time, the conversation with to the doctor, Dr. Jorge A. Arzac. He calmly let me finish, looked at my Result and explained to me calmly and professionally what the problem is and what treatment he suggested for it. I was more than enthusiastic ", because he always thought one step ahead.... I felt very well looked after. He explained the next steps to me and was concerned about my health. Unfortunately, I only have an appointment for the treatment about 2 1/2 Got it weeks later, but that didn't bother me. The nurse just said that I could call from time to time and maybe someone would cancel spontaneously. Done and done. Even on the phone I was ALWAYS treated very friendly and helpful. Yes, it True, sometimes it is difficult to reach someone by phone. degrees early. But when I reached someone, they knew straight away who they were talking to. Unfortunately, I can't say any more about the treatment at the moment, as I don't have my next appointment for 1 1/2 weeks. Nevertheless, I would like to thank everyone at the OB/Gyn Perth Amboy for their nice, competent and professional manner. *sorry for the long text*
You can't even make an appointment they won't let you so pray you don't have anything wrong with you totally awful I just need my annual and I had a baby 8 months ago I had called 2 months back and it was the same thing that they are all booked up and to call back I don't recommend......
I have never in my years of life have experienced such unprofessionalism, I saw this pregnant doctor who might have just been racist or maybe it was her hormones because she is pregnant. I suffer from mental illness and the way I was treated here today made me want to end my life. I remember a time when the people that worked at this place use to care about helping people now they have a bunch of unprofessional money hungry people. Working in the medical field you have to be delicate with the patient. Especially someone with a mental illness and or allergies as it is crucial and even fatal! Note to Cynthia V you need to go on maternity leave and maybe consider changing your work field.
I was at the Dental office yesterday night around 6:45pm and 7:00pm. The receptionist was extremely unprofessional, had no customers service skills. She was yelling at me like if she was paying for my dental visit. No one did anything , the security told me, i had to leave. I told her pull the cameras and verify if i was unpleasant. She said; i need authorization to do that. I been a patient at the JRMC for more than 10 years. The customer services for the past 3 years as become worse. They should close or have new staff with service skills.
TOOK 8-10 APPOINTMENTS JUST FOR A CAP TOOTH REPLACEMENT! ONCE THE REPLACEMENT WAS READY IT CRACKED LIKE GLASS AND NOW I HAVE TO WAIT 2-3 WEEKS!!!!! Terrible Place
U guys have very worst worst worst service. Do not provide assistance also assistance are not at all helpful. Dr. Also not giving proper information to the patient they just want to suffer the patient from one door to other door. Main thing assistance Is not at all helpful. They are just giving falls hopes to the patients n other thing without conveying the patients properly before couple of days they just changed their appointment & Dr too. Wasting of time. Very bad experience

No parking & they screwed up my billing with my insurance. Somehow, now I'm paying for it thanks & never again with jrmc
