Amazing burgers. More of a battered onion rings person but these were still good. I’ve been here a number of times their burgers are always great. Opted for the large single with onion rings today. The drive through isn’t the fastest but let’s get real I would go to one of the mass market chains if I was really in a rush. The short wait was worth it.
Stopped by for lunch on a Saturday afternoon, everything tasted great, wait times weren’t long, restaurant was clean and neat. Restrooms were also clean and stocked. Customer service was great. Order was correct. Would recommend to family and friends!
I grew up in Denver and used to frequent Jim's nearly 30 years ago. We decided on a visit to Denver to check them out for lunch. It was great! 6 inch FAT burgers. Great red and green Chile cheese fries, and fabulous shakes. The burgers were a bit less juicy and flavorful from memory... but the overall experience was fun and tasty. A Denver area O.G. delivers. We had a great visit.
Very good, old fashioned burger spot. I drove 20 miles for it and will again. Be warned....the 6 inch burger is every bit of 6 inches. Massive.
Driver thru visit. The shakes are so tasty. Onion Rings, Yum. Had a difficult time hearing via the drive thru order system. Maybe that is part of the nostalgia…. Regardless, the order was correct.
Great food and the music it's like I hitched a ride with Marty and Doc Brown and I'm back in the 50's. A true must
As a child we ate at Grampa's Burger Haven off Federal. "A square meal on a round bun". One sip of my Cherry shake brought back 30 year old memories. So good... thanks!
Love the burgers and shakes. Everything is made to order so its well worth the wait. Small things like napkins you have to ask for which is fine except for when they're busy. Still really good food. Vegetarian options: Grilled cheese and fries are always on the menu. The green chile is good but it still has some pork in it Kid-friendliness: Its burgers and fries and they have a kids menu! Parking: Lots of parking the west side has much more if you're worried about getting boxed in. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible both sides. Well maintained parking lot
13 years I've lived in Denver and now I finally get myself to this burger joint. This is the one in Thornton, on 88th Avenue between Washington and Grant. I've never been an enthusiastic burger-eater, but this place has the friendly staff, laid-back and family-friendly atmosphere, a quirky 50s/60s vibe, and definitely easy-on-the-wallet prices for the food. Portions are big and plentiful. I ordered the 6-inch Classic-Double with a side of onion rings and I couldn't finish it on my own. Lots of tables and seats, and a huge parking lot outside. Go - it's different and definitely one of the better mom-and-pop burger joints around the metro Denver area. Updated August 2022: back to this neighborhood gem for a Sunday lunch. Still good food, good prices, friendly service. A different kind of good compared to McD's, In & Out, Smashburger, etc.
A cool fifties style burger joint with delicious food, and a fun atmosphere. What I love most about this long time Colorado favorite is that you can customize your burger. Way better food than the burger places migrating here.Food: 5/5
