Great chicken, solid sauces and good sides. The gravy wasn't what I was looking for and the technique of the fry cook could be improved. I think this place has amazing potential and already amazing core competency.

Simple place with really good food! I highly recommend the Corn Fritters. They even offer fresh squeezed lemonade and you can buy fresh brewed Sweet Tea sold by the gallon.

I have been here a few times. The chicken is really good and I love the lemonade. We had a bad meal last night. The chicken was way over cooked and the fries were under cooked. I stopped by to tell the manager and she made it right by giving us a second meal at no cost to me. Hopefully this meal will be better. UPDATE This place cannot cook chicken properly. This second batch was bone in and we ordered boneless. Still really over cooked and had no flavor but grease. Really disappointed since when I went the first time it was really good. Probably won't go back.

Just stopped on our way back home from a dog show in Canton. We always like trying new places, especially mom and pop types. I can't say enough good about this restaurant. Large portions, fair prices and the food was delicious. I had the liver & gizzard meal, my husband had the chicken tenders. The livers were well seasoned and deep fried, the chicken tenders are HUGE...everything was delicious and served with a side of country gravy and a roll. I also highly recommend the fresh squeezed lemonade.

After having so many of our friends and family suggest this place, we finally ordered for our family of 6. We phone ordered the #7 and added some sides. Our total bill came to $60.00. Which is not the problem. The problem is we arrived after a 20 minute wait to an employee with dirty gloves covered in breading which she even apologized for waiting on us at the drive through. They couldn't find our order. After we got home we realized we were missing the rolls, gravy and one of the sides. So we went ahead and tried the food. Chicken is bland at best, mashed potatoes are boxed, and mac and cheese is miserable. Won't be back and will never recommend it. As much as I try to avoid the Colonels place, it is even a better choice. I cross posted this to Yelp also.

Had heard about this place with mixed reviews. I decided to try them out today 10/16/2018 on my way north on I-71 from Columbus. I purchased a 10 piece mixed with 5 rolls and a 6 piece tenders with one roll to go, and a quart of green beans, about $23. This was about 3:00 pm with one car in the parking lot. After arriving home about 3:30 my family commenced eating with the results as follows. The chickens outer layer was very tough and some of it was like shoe leather. The meat was dry. The tenders were far from tender. The rolls where very good as well as the green beans. I ended up discarding about half the chicken order. I believe the chicken had set under the lights way to long. I will try them one more time in the future but only if the chicken is cooked to order and not ready to go.

My boyfriend and I saw this place advertised on a sign on the highway so we decided to go! it has a cute name and we love local restaurants. Should've listened to the other negative reviews. We walked in and there were two employees sitting in the dining room on their phones, one of them clearly on a phone call with someone through headphones. We sat, ordered, and were informed, rather rudely, by the waitress that the chicken will take about 30 minutes to cook. That's fine, it adds to the perceived freshness of the chicken. So I ordered their fresh squeezed lemonade with my poppers, and my boyfriend ordered a mountain dew with his mixed chicken. The lemonade was bitter, although tolerable. His mountain dew was so disgusting, we each took a sip and didn't touch it again. He said it tasted like rusty water. While we waited, he read a review on here about someone's chicken not being cooked thoroughly so he warned me to check before biting in. So we finally receive our meals, and one of my poppers was still very pink. My boyfriend's meal was 'done', but there was very little meat on the bones. So he tried their advertised fresh cut fries, and they were soggy to the point of being inedible. We then waited another 15 minutes after finishing our meals to try to pay. There was no waitstaff to speak of, no cooks in the kitchen. We stood up to just leave and THEN two girls flew out of the back room to assist us. This was deplorable customer service. This was disgusting food quality. Don't go there.

DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!!!! This was the worst food I have had in a long long time!!! I really hope people will read this and DO NOT go there to eat. Chicken was over cooked, way too salty and the sides we're disgusting! Add in the phone does not work, the help staff was lacking and had no idea what they were doing and finally the place was generally dirty and for having no customers showed a lack of interest in cleaning by looking at the floors and such. Had driven by this place dozens of times and kept wanting to try it, keep driving McDonald's next to it was better.....

Usually great food but tonight I was the only one in there at 730pm barely saw anyone that was working they kept walking in the back. I finally got my food drive the 30 minutes home and the tenders were so burnt we couldn't even eat them. Definitely not going back anytime soon.

Ordered the 15 piece and poppers ahead of time. Order was not at the time we requested. I checked the order and the 15 piece was all wing parts. I went inside and was told the one wing part was a leg. One piece was a thigh. That turned out to be some small piece of white meat. There was supposed to be 3 pieces of white meat. I was told after the fact that they were out of white meat. They made no effort to compensate. I'll give them one more try but I was really dissatisfied with the service. I had a large group to feed and the wings didn't do the job.
