This restaurant is incredible. Great service, crazy good food with such a fair price. If you're looking for an italian restaurant in the area, I highly recommend visiting here. This place is awesomeRecommended dishesCalzone, Garlic Rolls
Jimmy's Kitchen is a must! The food is amazing and the Staff was great. We had a party of 35 people, everyone of us was blown away on how good it was. I had the chicken marsala, ravioli, and cheese bite app. It was so good
While the service was great and the food ample, hot and tasty, the lack of fountain beverages with refills was a disappointment. The only option is a canned soda. I also found that some of their prices seemed quite high for pasta dishes. Also the 4% charge for using a credit card adds to the expense of eating there. I would eat there again, but not often.
Went at 2pm on Saturday, greeted, and then seated quickly, so no wait at all. Was a bit hot in there, but maybe cause we sat by window. Our server Al was great. I had the pasta fagioli as kind of an appetizer. It tasted wonderful and their buns are absolutely delicious! It wasn't busy at all, so I believe this is why, but I was only half way through my fagiloi when my main course was brought out, so kind of felt a little bit rushed and now having two plates of food and a salad along with my girlfriend and kids pizza was a bit cluttered. I ordered the Chicken Fradivola.. alright, this was amazing. Used the buns to clean my plate it was so good. My girlfriend and daughter got the, I believe it was called The Works pizza and she said it was delicious as well. Spent about $70 bucks for 2 adults and a 2 year old girl, but don't let that discourage you from going as it was wonderful! Parking: It's right by a shopping plaza so there's many spots. Not a ton of spots right by the place itself though Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp in front of building
Quaint place, big flavor! These homemade dishes are worth the drive! We paired our meal with a nice Chianti. Portion size is more than enough to share or take some delicious left overs home! The wait staff super friendly and attentive. We came a little early. By the time we left there was a line out door!
We tried Jimmy's after we were told it was started by the same person that ran DeRoma in Huber Heights. We tried two of the dishes we loved at DeRoma and they were almost identical. We'll definitely be back. The food was very good, our waitress was great. The only knock is the way the tables are crowded together. It is a repurposed Taco Bell, but I could hear the lady at the next table more clearly than I could my wife.
The chicken carbonara with Alfredo sauce was decent. It lacked a flavor profile though so I was a little disappointed. The portion size was pretty big and there were copious amounts of mushrooms and bacon. The chicken portion size was good as well. It was smothered in Alfredo sauce but it just lacked the punch on the palette you would expect. Most Italian restaurants offer a starter of fresh bread with marinara, butter, or oil. Jimmy’s doesn’t offer this—no bread spread here. That was a bit disappointing as well. You do get 2 pieces of bread with your meal but that just isn’t the same. Supply chain disruptions have added to the cost of many things but this was a little pricey for what you get/don’t get. Not a bad place and the food is decent. You will leave full in the stomach yet a little lighter in the pocketbook. Give Jimmy’s a try and judge for yourself. For me, Jimmy’s gets a mid-table 3 star rating.
As a customer of Italian descent, my expectations are quite high. Jimmy's meets them every time. Consistent, delicious food prepared like my grandma would. Great veal dishes and pasta. Best pizza in Dayton by a long shot. Desserts are great too. Tiramisu and cannoli to die for. All at reasonable prices. I recommend Jimmy's highly.
Jimmy has an excellent selection of lunch and dinner options. Delicious pierogies The establishment is oddly decorated, but still clean and nice. The service is good. Pizza and other dishes for carry out will be utilized often
The New York rolls are the best I have had outside of NYC itself. And everything at Jimmy's is tasty, the pasta, the pizza, it's all top notch. Owner regularly checks in with the patrons at the tables and he really makes you feel like a regular. Pictured: Jimmy's meatball NY Roll with marinara. Get your own roll, you won't want to share.
