If you are looking for a late night location to have regular drinks then this is the place you would like to check out. The day I went they had a themed event. I am a beer type of person so I tried having a beer that was not on the sweet side. Usually I’ll get an ultra or miller but none were available cheapest one I know is a PBR but that also was not sold there. I was introduced to a beer called HAMMS which in my opinion definitely was close to being light and tasting as a PBR. The vibes this place gives are pretty dark which most may like. I loved the DJ he was playing such good beats definitely had the crowd moving. Please be aware this is located in a area which being around DC for long is somewhat sketchy. Just take caution walking late is my best advice or if parking around there please don’t have anything visible. Other than everything else this is a great after hour spot would definitely find myself there again for a drink.
I went there for a little drum & bass event called Bass Down Unda and it was a great time! Cheap drinks and a good crowd for a Friday night. Enjoy the videos!
Great eclectic dive bar. Came here for a techno show. Low lit, friendly welcoming vibe. Basic drinks, decor has lots of skulls and behind the bar is filled with notes and pictures from patrons of years past. Small and cozy, not a fancy cocktail kinda place, but a place to let your hair down.
Chances are high you'll get arrested not long after hanging out at this bar. It's not the bars fault necessarily. It's a great spot. It's just, it gets you in a kind of mood. Gets you revved up. A funky vibe and a the right kind of beer selection to get you started in on poor decision making.
Wife and I had no intentions of going out, but we heard some bass from our Airbnb and it sounded good so we followed it and ended up here. Had one of our favorite nights out, music was great, people we’re super chill, place was intimate and decor was on point. Glad we stumbled on it!
this place was absolutely dead at 11 PM on a saturday night. bouncer was just playing his nintendo switch. dj was playing to a dance floor of zero people. definitely not for anyone under 30
This is one of the best dive bars in Washington DC. Great art. Great vibe.Service: 5/5
Super tiny and dirty- Do not wear white clothes here or you will more than likely get them dirty if you lean on something. The owner is super rude and can’t control his little temper. Also they lock you in so you better hope there is no fire or you will more than likely die in this hole-in-the- wall establishment.
Negative stars if I could...what you see is the OWNER of this bar in BLACKFACE. When I asked what his costume for Halloween was, he replied, "A doorman." He then said, "do you have a problem with it?" As I was stating my obvious problem with it he walked away. I told my group we're leaving and never going back. Outside, the racist owner began defending his costume saying it was "Halloween" and his face was painted blue, not black. Blah blah blah bottom line is: he not only was ignorant to the fact that his outfit was demeaning, crude and distasteful, he shrugged off the way it made myself and my black friend feel.the only black people there! 2022 and Jimmy Valentines owner is as racist and prejudiced as 1922. NEVER SUPPORT THIS PLACE AGAIN. BLACK LIVES MATTER
One of my fave bars in DC, love the vibes here!
