******6/17/19 Nothing much to say...... still fab! Still delish! Still great service!!! I tried the new item “conquito french toast” , not my type. Creme Brule French toast is still the best in my book. *****came back on another day. Still superb service & food!!!! 10/17/18 Update Yep! Same as always. Good food. Good service. ********* Original post: On a nice Tuesday morning is when we visited this place. We didn’t have to wait for a table. The seater greeted us promptly with a smile. The menu selection has quite a selection, something for everyone. The service was great ! The food was terrific! The whole place seems organised and clean. I cant comment how the bathroom looks like, if it is clean or dirty, as we didn’t use it. Would WE come back??? Heck YASS! Price also affordable.
I heard all kinds of reviews on this spot and decided to check them out for myself. We arrived at 7:00 am as they opened. To our surprise people were already waiting and had the same idea as we did, to get there early before the rush. We were greeted at the door by the owner's son and sat immediately. This place is just as great as they say it is. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The space is on the smaller side, but has a warm and inviting atmosphere. Your coffee cup will never be empty and your water glass will always be filled. The food was AMAZING. We ordered the City of Champions and the Hash Bomb as well as the Banana Bread French Toast and a side of pancakes. Words do this place no justice. The wait was not long, the food was hot and fresh. They prepare the food right in front of you. The home fried potatoes were seasoned to perfection. The bacon was nice and crisp. The ham portion was a little on the skimpy side, but by the time we finished our food, it was a perfect portion. The corned beef hash was out of this world and the gravy that was on top brought all the flavors together. Even the eggs, which we had scrambled with cheese, were well seasoned and still hot when we were served. The Banana Bread French toast was served nice and warm. It was everything you could imagine, with a generous portion of caramel syrup drizzled on top with a sprinkle of confectionery sugar and the pancakes are fluffy and moist. The Phantom Gourmet has recommended this place several times and I would concur. It is tucked in the corner and not a place you would ever expect, but don't let the location fool you. One thing is true, parking is a little bit of a hassle. This place is busy by 7:30 am and you will definitely have to stand in line, especially on a Saturday. But it is WELL WORTH THE WAIT!!!! They do not accept reservations nor do they offer take-out. So you will have to come in and get the full experience. The prices were not outrageous, it will not break your bank.
This place is amazing. Expect to wait especially on the weekends but it's worth it. Hangover benedict is great!! Creme brulee french toast is probably one of the best french toast I've ever had.
Food was excellent! Nice presentation and everything tasted great. The poached eggs and home fries were cooked perfectly and the spicy fried corned beef hash balls were fantastic. I also couldn't help but to order the creme brulee french toast. Very good as well! Highly recommended.
JJ Cafe used to the hidden gem spot for weekend brunch. Since the owner of JJ cafe retired. They turned into a healthy alternative restaurant where they serves salad. I got the spicy broccoli . It's tasted amazing! Highly recommend JJ Cafe for their salads! Parking: Small Parking a lot but good for only take out
I had heard this place was excellent, and everyone was right! Walking in I found it to be very busy, but the receptionist Elijah took my information and placed me in queue. Instead of using hand held buzzers, I was able to get text and call updates for when my table was ready. Fortunately for me, my 11 minute wait turned out to be closer to 8 minutes. Once seated, I was treated to Jasmine’s charms and attentive service. I ordered the lobster and crab Benedict and it was marvelous. Great proportions of each ingredient provided me with an excellent taste experience with every bite. I can’t wait to return and try more of the menu!
A wonderful place to eat with great service! The decor is cultural with paintings of Nina Simone and others hanging. The waiters are attentive and the food is awesome!!! You have to try the French toast! It's a casual place on the north side of Brockton. Small parking lot but there is a side street to park on. The food comes pretty fast which I love because I'm usually in a rush when I go there. Depending on the day you go, it can be pretty packed but the wait is not usually more than 20 minutes.
New Owner, they do not sell breakfast, Not much on the menu and very pricey. My veggie bowl was almost $17 Very small portions for the amount, food is okay.
Always at least an hour wait but food is worth it. Pleasant, friendly staff, clean bathroom, fast service, and food comes out quickly. Coffee $3 is delicious with free refills. Wifi is super slow. Tip – always ask to get your home fries with onions & peppers. Tastes great and well-seasoned! 1 Hangover Benedict - $17 – 8 oz charbroiled angus sirloin, topped with spinach, roasted red peppers, three poached eggs & demi glace, served on grilled ciabatta – not bad for the price. The sirloin was dry and not seasoned enough but you get what you pay for. But everything else was great. The sauce was delicious with the red peppers, poached eggs, and ciabatta. The home fries with onions & peppers were divine! 2 Eggs Benedict - $9.50 – two poached eggs & Canadian bacon on a grilled English muffin topped with whole grain mustard cream. Comes with home fries – would def get again. Bacon tasted & looked like ham…but it was still delicious. Muffin was lightly toasted. Eggs were perfect. Not a mustard person but the mustard cream tasted great with the poached eggs & muffin. 3 Make Your Own Omelet – w/ a side of home fries and two slices of toast. Large, filling, and perfectly grilled. Would definitely get again. 4 Banana Bread French Toast - $8.50 – delicious slices of banana bread that is just slightly covered with French toast batter and lightly fried. But covered in caramel sauce with lots of slices of bananas. Satisfies the sweet tooth. Would definitely get again.
I love JJ’s! I’ve had their Eggs Benedict, Breakfast Burrito, and Shrimp Cake Benedict—and their Creme Brûlée French Toast is to die for! I haven’t tried all of their smoothies yet, but I love the Island Breeze. They use techniques that I’ve never seen before and they have an open kitchen where I can watch my food being made. Not only is their food delicious, but their service is even better. My boyfriend and I have come here several times and we will keep coming back. “Enter as Strangers, Leave as Friends”
