The pastries are great and delicious and the service is satisfactory. The employees are a kind lively type working together well that keep the establishment clean and running. The sandwiches are sumptuous. Although their pastries and sandwiches are great, the smoothies are my favorite thing to order.
Really like this place. Has great bakery items with combinations nit seen in many other places. Love their cloud taro bread, custard bun, pork bun, pineapple with buttermilk. I have their their iced Milk Tea with boba which is my favorite, thieir green tea is quite weak. They also have chicken pocket pies empanadas quite tasty but small.
I think this is a great place but sometimes it upsets me. Their hot dog bun is the same as my favorite bun in my hometown. The most frustrating thing is that they always cancel my order without reason. I mean, if you can't complete the order, plz don't accept it at first rather than cancel it later. I also found that they won't deliver the order if you order cake slices in ubereats. Just feel like they only deliver some limited products. Then why you put those products on the menu in ubereats?
My favourite bakery for all things pastries and milk teas. Everything is hand-baked and wondrously fresh. The tuna Danish with Hokkaido Fresh Milk Tea is a great anytime of the day. Friendly staff, free Wi-Fi and five star rewards program makes this the best thing to happen in Korea town.
I got here an hour before closing on Saturday so most of the food was gone, maybe just 1/4 of the shelves were stocked. I got the meat lovers bread, green tea mochi and hokkaido chiffon. The pastries were very Taiwanese-y. If you've ever had 85degrees thats about the flavor you get. The Japanese bakery style influenced by the French influences the Taiwanese bakeries. The bread was light and buttery. It savory with a touch of sweetness. It's not really a lot of meat but it's a nice snack. The chiffon was pretty much a quality giant twinkie. Cream in the middle, airy fluffy not overly sweet chiffon cake. The green tea mochi was big. It's easily enough to be share with 2 people. Inside of the mochi was azukired beans with cream and a small piece if green tea chiffon at the bottom - I'm guessing it helps keep the shape. This one was a bit too sweet for me though I did eat it late at night so I couldn't pair it with a coffee. It was a little difficult to find, you need to stay on Wilshire past Vermont headed to Shatto. I went around 7p so the parking was free but I saw they validate for 30mins. There's not much seating there so it may be better to get in and get out. They serve milk teas with boba but I didn't have any and there are a few gift type boxes you can buy with pastries. I'm glad to find a Taiwanese bakery here in Koreatown - I prefer the more subtle tastes of Taiwanese pastries. Definitely check it out if you're a fan of these style of pastries. Five stars rewards here, too.
Went here with great expectations but it did not fulfill my expectations. It is nice and clean. Also, the staff is professional. However, the bread well was not so tasty. It was ok but not wow! Plus, the cake was quite dry, which surprised me. I guess I will try out more stuff later for now, it is an average bakery.
JJ's has really great boba drinks. Jasmine with boba is only 3.50. Chewing on that boba is super fun. Out of all the pastires my favorite are two - the chicken pot pie croissant, and the curry meat pie croissant. Both have incredible flavor and are only 2 bucks. A very clean shop with some great finds.
No hot sandwiches here unlike other locations. They do have popcorn chicken. 30 minutes free underground parking enter on Shatto Place. $5 minimum on credit/debt card. Friendly staff.
Love this place. If I call ahead they will save an item for me. Sandwiches are fresh and tasty. Love the "Coconut Bun" and "Curry Beef" pastry. They "GET" customer service. If you can't find an item they will find it for you.
The Asian pastries are delicious and authentic. The bakery itself is a nice setting with some seats to sit down and enjoy your pastry/coffee/tea.
