The Weitendorf Agricultural Education Center, a JJC education center, was made possible through the generous donation of John H. Weitendorf, Sr., a 1942 Joliet Junior College alumnus. He dedicated his real estate business to helping area farmers secure land to pursue their dreams. Now the center that bears his name assists JJC as it educates future generations in agriculture. The WAEC is located on 32 acres of land donated in 1999 to the JJC Foundation by Mr. Weitendorf. The center officially opened its doors in June 2007
The Weitendorf Agricultural Education Center hosts classroom and laboratory activities for the college's agriculture, horticulture, and veterinary medical technology programs, along with other credit and non-credit offerings of the college. Also located at the center is JJC's CDL program, through Premier CDL, and an FCAE Program Advisor. The center features four semi-smart classrooms, an arena, a livestock holding and handling wing, and an exhibit hall.
