I learned what a slum lord was after residing at 5228 Rex Ave. I inspected before hand, and things seemed ok at first. It smelled weird but I figured it was musk from being vacant for a while. I saw roaches and was told by the land lady that they were dying. It was mid day. So, I figured I'd give it a shot. After a month I realized that the roaches were not dying. I've never had an infestation before so I didn't know signs or smells to look for. Eventually I felt things weren't right. I contacted land lady and after a week I was contacted. Another month passed and a pest control person finally showed up but he used a gel that stunts their growth rather than killing them. After a few months I also noticed issues with the roof since it's vaulted. I saw water damage in the creases where the wall meets the ceiling. The unit had cracks in the flooring, as well as a ton of other health hazards I learned of. Side note: I obviously didn't have means to move or else i would have done so. Not only that, it's not fair for people to get away with this. The building needs to be condemned and everyone connected to it needs to be held accountable. The photos speak for themselves. Slum lords. It's sad that this is even legal for people to live in conditions like that. Especially veterans. Oh I forgot to add that they recently painted over the building. My sense tells me that it's to attempt to cover up something.
Hi everyone! My husband andI are very happy here.A nice working class neighborhood. We are close to everything. The Farmers market on Saturdays, a community garden, the City Heights Library and park. You don't need a car you can walk to everything! Public transportation is really available. Maintenance people are responsive to your repair requests.Quiet complex, clean and safe. Our property manager is a very capable, wonderful human being. Just be a good neighbor and smile!
My husband worked for this company for 5 years. For tge owner even longer. He was very good to my husband and my husband never complained. That is until the owner passed away. Then they claimed to have sold the company and laid off my husband and some others they kept only certain people and didnt sell the company and kicked us out of our home where our baby had been raised and happy. They wont give my husband a copy of his w2 so we can send it to the irs. They left us homeless and without any money. My husband is now depressed and sick. They use to be a good company.
We have worked with many realtors in the past but none as good as Ethan! He was very knowledgeable about the different costs and considerations in restaurant businesses and leasing the restaurant spaces. He helped us feel comfortable with the numbers and was very responsive to all our questions. He also connected us with a wonderful architect who will be helping us utilizing the space to its full potential. Also. the owner, John Nobel is attentive and meticulous in the details. We are grateful to have found him and would recommend him to anyone looking for an awesome real estate broker in San Diego!
Please don't rent from them! I can finally write a review now that I finally got my deposit back from them. They ignored multiple maintenance requests in the 14 months I was there. Their on site "manager" sends countless harassing group texts at whatever hours she wants. The last two months I lived there I had to stay in hotels, air bnb, and couch surf because they ignored my plumbing issues. I couldn't live in my own apartment because it wreaked of sewer water and feces. I HAD TOXIC SH!T WATER COMING OUT OF ALL SINKS AND SHOWERS FOR MONTHS AND IT WAS MAKING ME AN MY DOG ACTUALLY PHYSICALLY SICK. I was never compensated for those two months so I finally left. And for one more slap in the face from them, they stole $200 of mine! They tried calling it fair even though I have written agreements stating I would be getting back everything in full because of all the maintenance issues I've endured since DAY 1. But they decided to change their mind and keep an extra $200 to themselves without letting me know. Whatever, I'm happy to be out of that place and if they're stealing $200 from a broke girl they must really need it more than me! THEY ARE SCUMS. Don't rent here unless you're excited to be overcharged for a tiny studio with bugs, plumbing issues, gas issues, water issues and pest issues. I have a horrible feeling that this place just tries to push out any person that is of color. Regardless if you believe they have racist motives or not, this place is still filthy and overpriced.
If you walk down Garnet Ave, you'll see tons of closed down shops, and just about every one of them has a "JN Financial Services" sign in the window. If you are considering starting a new business, please do your research and consider leasing from someone else. There must be a reason why all of these businesses closed down so quickly, while the neighboring businesses who leased from other companies are thriving.
Unfortunately JN Financials does not take pride in the properties they own. For example, my outlet caught on fire. When dealing with managers for multiple maintenance issues, the attitude and follow up were awful. Months later, when maintenance issues were attempted by JN Financial Services, it was represented by someone that did not know how to fix the issues, nor speak English. Given the lack of ability to communicate, I had to personally hire professionals to help me fix issues in my house. They are finally resolved.
Pathetic excuse of a company. Customer service is terrible. Very rude and unprofessional. Tried applying to become a tenant at an apartment complex on 36th and University. Lost 70 dollars with no response as to wether we were denied or not. Our application and money orders were lost. They said they never received anything. Spoke to Michael S apartment complex manager, Vicki, Blanca, and Sheri poor excuse of a manager, very rude and disrespectful. All were no help. Ended up losing 70 dollars for nothing. Don't do business with them! I have emails to prove how unprofessional they are! No wonder they can't find tenants for their properties!
HORRIBLE LIARS. I was about to buy Turquoise cafe for 60,000 and Ethan lied to me that owner is in hospital and his son manages it. I hired an investigator and learnt it was a woman owner. Also spoke to old owner and he said John Noble is a snake and will steal and hike prices every month and harass .. Tattoo owner took him to court , Juice guy took to court and he screwed the car wash guy... have hired a lawyer
Been living at one of their properties than JN owns for like a year everything has been great since the start from the corporate office to the manager vikki always ready to respond to any emergency repairs or questions and their maintance crew is very professional at their work would recommend. Family friends to come and rent one of their properties if your looking for a place JN is the best at their work
