We stopped to shop here while on vacation in the area as we noticed a sale going on. Everyone was wearing a mask which was a nice change of pace. They have clear markings for social distancing and directional markings for shopping most aisles. We spent most of our time looking for fabric, but my child was also looking for some art and sewing supplies. A big kudos goes out to the extremely nice lady I did not get her name who was cutting the fabric as while we were talking she was able to recommend a place in town to get an excellent Italian beef sandwich like I miss from Chicago. Her recommendation of Ski's Hideaway was right on the money. Just for that I would definitely shop here again when we are in town. Everyone we talked to was friendly and helpful. We found some good deals on fabrics and picked up a few items we needed.
The Manager of this store went above and beyond in my experience here. I came in to pick up an order for my friend but it was the wrong type of fabric. Fleece vs cotton. After a quick and extremely pleasant phone call she had it all sorted and I was ony way with a smile on my face. Kari's the Bomb.com....promote her. Kindness can gain you miles in a race of inches.
Very nice place to shop if you're into sewing and crafts. If you're looking for things to help you make your earrings don't come here I was very disappointed that they had no backings for making the earrings. That said they did have everything else I was looking for that day. The store is always neatly organized the people are always well informed about their jobs and very friendly. In fact, my cashier when I couldn't pull up my email coupons she asked to use my phone and was able to go in the back door to find them for me and save me quite a bit of money that way which in this day and age I really appreciate it. I'd like to mention her by name but I thought it would be on the receipt and it's not so I'm really sorry but she was fantastic
Tends to have great sales and kind staff. I did have one experience here where staff was getting yelled at by a customer because there was a line as the fabric cutting counter a lot of people were purchasing multiple sections of fabric, it was VERY understandable that there was a line. This customer wasn't having any of it! The staff on duty were extremely kind and professional in their responses and quickly processed their customers while this lady was frustrated. The frazzled customer left upon her own merits, but I was really impressed by the staff!
Staff is always friendly and helpful, I only wish the store focused more on sewing and fabrics instead of crafts. Maybe a separate craft store?
Never thought to go here for beading and craft supplies, but am I Glad I did!! Iv never seen such a neat, clean and organized store in my many years of life! Kudo's to the entire staff! Just go slow in the parking lot. It is a mine field of folks not paying attention.
Love the cashier. So friendly
I have never shopped at a Joann’s before but I was shopping next door and needed two artificial leaves for an arrangement. The store is very small and has very limited supply of plants/artificial flowers. A few end caps with seasonal decorations, which were deplorable. When I checked out and asked about coupons and downloading an app I simply asked the cashier if she could accept the code because I was not going to join an app to receive a coupon. She replied “don’t worry be happy” co-conspiring with another cashier insinuating I was not a happy person because I did not want to download an app for a coupon that was advertised online. The other cashier nicely scanned the coupon and I proceeded with checking out. Will not be back to this store due to rude employees and poor/cheap selection.
It's a third of the size of the one I'm use to, therefore the selection seemed low.
Wonderful staff. Great prices
