Very RUDE STAFF MEMBER SERENITY. I went to look for some home decor today around 7 and when I was around the fabric section I saw a huge roach on the floor not knowing what to do I said “hi excuse me” and the older lady Serenity I think her name is, ignored me and I said it 2 more times just in case she didn’t hear me she looked up annoyed and said “Yes?” I said “sorry but there’s a roach on the floor” she rolled her eyes went over to the roach pushed it with her feet then said “I’m not touching that you can go around it” and I said okay then proceeds to tell me “you can take care of it but I’m not”. To my confusion?? Because I’m a customer why would you tell me to just go around it and to take care of it? Very rude. I decided to just leave and not get anything and will not be back!!!
Two employees walked by me offering no assistance bit instead sneered at me and looked to see what I had in my cart. Treated me like a shoplifter instead of a valued customer.
JOANNs recently hasn’t had enough staff to help customers, I was waiting 10 minutes to get one item and clicked the button 3 times, but still didn’t get a person to help me. I saw two staffs near that area looking like their shift ended, I go near that area wondering where they went and one of them come out with no work apparel and I ask them If I can get an item and she simply ignored me and acted like she was a customer. I’ve never experienced such an inefficient staff situation in my life.
Before I came over down here I went to Michael's they did not have the item I was looking for and the associate over there should walk around with me try to find it after looking for it and they were out of stock coming to come to Jo-Ann's so I came over down to this John's right here when I approach an associate and ask her where can I find this item she questioned me again kind of like she not understand me she tell me they don't carry those bags that I can make them myself I know I have purchase this little box in another John's by my house I know they carry them but instead of saying let's go try to look and see if we have anything similar to shut me off and tell me they don't carry him either way out have to tell me they don't have them another associate made the comment again that they don't have them secondly they're not wearing a name so you don't even know who they are I think the manager needs to have a conversation with his team to let him know try to see if you can find the item that makes a big difference in the customer
Specialty store for fabric/textile enthusiasts. Large store, well organized. Knowledgeable sales staff. Especially in fabric/sewing department to cut your chosen bolt. No longer provide classes. For knitting and crocheting do not have the more obscure sizes for needles or hooks or yarn. Kmart also provides some of the common needs. Might call ahead if searching for the unusual. Certain days of month they offer scissor sharpening. Potts of parking. Located in shopping center. Btw, They allow dogs.
I love Jo-Ann's because I can always find stuff that I'm not ever looking for lol. With that said, the Porter Ranch location is my favorite considering how large the store is so they can carry lots of products and offer many classes too. Staff is hit or miss with friendliness but they are all pretty knowledgeable.
Nice store with a great selection. Lots of parking and friendly staff. The only problem here is that the AC doesn't work in the store. Hopefully, corporate will fix it soon for the employees and customers for a better work environment and shopping experience.
This store was much better before their management changed years ago. Prices way too high for everything. Fabrics overpriced,jewelry making supplies overpriced and all fabrics I bought was cut terrible on both sides. From one yard quarter of it was wasted because cut was not straight. With an old management store was much better.
Quick and easy. Excellent customer service!
