Located in the center of a 2000 acre man-made wetland, the John Bunker Sands Wetland Center is located in Seagoville, TX, near Dallas. The 5,400 sq. ft. facility includes an exhibit and gallery hall, a research lab, a classroom for hands-on educational programs, and an observation deck to view the wetland. A granite pathway leads visitors to a boardwalk extending into the living wetland. The boardwalk allows students and visitors to observe and study the wetland plants and wildlife habitat.
