John M. Anderson, MD, PhD, studied at The University of Arizona College of Medicine and received his doctorate of medicine in 1991. Also equipped with a PhD, he completed his internal medicine internship at Tucson Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona, radiation oncology residency at The University of Arizona Medical Center, where he also served as Chief Resident, and ultimately his research fellowship also at the University of Arizona. Dr. Anderson is board-certified in Radiation Therapy by the American Board of Radiology, is an inductee of the Phi Beta Kappa Society and Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, and remains a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Dr. Anderson attributes his success to his dedication and hard work. Over the course of his career, he was honored with several honors, including a Gold Star for Patient Service Excellence by Duke University Medical Center, the American Cancer Society Grant (2000), the Radiologic Society of North American Resident/Fellow Research Award, the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology Education and Development Award, the IEA/Ishlayaku EuroAmerica, Inc.
