Great haircut from a great barber. This is a step back in time, and a very welcome one. It's nothing like Sports Clips or other franchises. Its one man in his 57 year old shop making an honest living and providing great company and conversation. I don't live here, but I hope I have the pleasure of his company and services again.
A welcome return to a real barbershop. No gimmicks. Good music and reading material and, thanks to Vernon, good barbering.
This is the same barbershop that I used to go to back in my college years. Moved away, came back and Viola, it was still here. Vernon is a very good barber and an even better conversationalist. Go see him when you need a haircut. You won't be disappointed .
Vernon has been there with his barber shop in Hurst for decades. I had difficulty finding a true barber who knew what a traditional "man's haircut" was to a man who was born in 1950. The price is great and the quality of the haircuts has been excellent for me. I have been going there for the past 10 years.
This is a traditional barber shop, about as traditional as it gets. Regular haircut is $17. Don't expect pretty female hair stylists or a TV tuned to sports near every chair. They have one small TV in the corner and only one barber Vernon, who has been cutting hair for a very long time. But if you just want a good haircut at a fair price, this place is hard to beat.
Vernon was great. Very personable, super friendly. Update March 2, 2022 - nothing changed. I still got a great haircut, and Vernon was still super friendly. Update Oct 5th 2022.......................................... Nothing changed. I got another great haircut and Vernon was friendly again.
My husband has been going here since he was in elementary school and still goes to get a cut when we are in town. He loves the way they do his cut and shaves. The gentlemen there are always very polite and professional. The environment here is very calm and relaxing. He says he will always be a life time customer.
