I am not sure why this place is not packed. Nice restaurant. Great food. Friendly service. Honestly, it's one of the best restaurants in Midland TX. I have never had a bad experience here and recommend it to anyone craving good Italian food or just a nice local place for happy hour.Food: 5/5
Went 2 hours from home to eat here and it did not disappoint. From management, to the employees, and the service; everything was perfect! The food was delicious and the experience was worth it. We will be back. Thank you all for your services!Food: 5/5
We have lived in Midland for 5 years and went past this restaurant several times. Today was the first time we ate here. I have lived in Pittsburgh and New York in the past. Hands down the best Italian food I have had here so far. Delicious. Fresh bread and oil with crisp garlic for starters. The spinach artichoke dip was such a uniquely different way and amazingly delicious. I can't even describe how good the lasagna is! My 2 years and me ate the entire lasagna. My son begged us to get more chicken nuggets to go he liked them so much. If you want a delicious, fullfilling Italian meal, please don't hesitate to stop here! I can't wait to go again!!!
This restaurant is absolutely amazing! The best food hands down. The fire oven pizza is so delicious, the chicken fettuccine was so fresh and delicious. The bread is amazing as well. Service was professional and friendly. Great place and we will be back againFood: 5/5
I am new in the area and was aware of Carino's in a different city. This location in Midland appears deserted; not inviting from the outside. There were not many customers when I entered and waited several minutes before receiving instructions that seating is open. I chose the high top tables in the bar as I was alone. Didn't expect to see Sponge Bob playing on one of the big screens; did I say I was in the bar! Only ordered an appetizer; spinach dip and artichoke dip. Pita chips were stale, but warm...interesting. Not the quality of food nor the dining experience I remember of the Carino franchise.
My son wanted to take my mother and I to dinner for Mother’s Day. We all wanted Italian and decided on Johnny Cariono’s instead of Olive Garden because we had not tried the one in Midland. I will first off say that our waitress was rather rude and not very friendly. She seemed very put out whenever we asked for something. She even grabbed my arm at one point and gave me a shake asking “are you sure that’s it!” I was very uncomfortable with her touching me. The food was terrible. I got the shrimp fettuccine and the noodles were tough and shrimp overcooked. It had no flavor. The plate was steaming like it was very hot but it was not. Maybe room temperature if any. I asked everyone else how their meals were and they all had the same response about the taste and temperature. The restaurant was not clean. I definitely do not recommend eating here. The food and service is overpriced. I will continue to take my business to the Olive Garden as it is my favorite Italian restaurant.
I was excited to stop in here for dinner since we no longer have one in my town. I sure was disappointed. The bread was good and the dipping oil was very good. I had the combination plate with chicken parmigiana with spaghetti and raviolis with jalapeño cream sauce. It was terrible, all of it. The chicken parm was definitely pre made and microwaved. It was disgustingly tough and chewy and the sauce was horrible. One bite and that was all I could handle so I tried the spaghetti, nope, still bad. The sauce was used on both and had a horrible spoiled taste. On to the raviolis, these weren’t as bad but I would never order them again. The sauce had canned pickled jalapeños and it tasted awful with cream sauce. I won’t go back here for awhile, if ever.
Our waitress was very nice. But the food was gross. The bread was definitely microwaved & hard as a rock. Over salted fettuccine Alfredo. Yellow salad. Just not satisfying at all. Only giving 2 stars because of the service. Won’t be back!
Tried it out again after some bad past experiences with food, service, and atmosphere. Tonight was great..its cleaned up,the food was great and our waitress/ bartender was great. Hope it stays that way !Food: 5/5
This was an absolute atrocious experience! I took my daughter to eat for lunch and there was absolutely nobody in the restaurant but still took about 10 minutes to seat us and them about another 10 minutes to get our drinks. They finally brought us the hard and old bread that was almost raw and tasted disgusting, the dry garlic was disgusting and was chewy and stale!! I never got my salad when it was part of meal and the pasta was undercooked and parts were hard... This just had to be the worst experience at that restaurant I ever had! If I could give it a -10 I would!
