Johns Hopkins University Research Administration (JHURA) supports research and related activities of the JHU community through professional expertise, excellence in service, and comprehensive guidance.
Johns Hopkins University Research Administration (JHURA) includes the sponsored projects administration offices for the Bloomberg School of Public Health, the Whiting School of Engineering, School of Education, School of Nursing, Carey School of Business, SAIS, JHPIEGO, as well as several other divisions and centers within Johns Hopkins University, providing exceptional quality support to the campus community’s research, creative activity, technology transfer, and outreach/policy initiatives. JHURA is comprised of 4 Offices: Research Administration, Research Development, Export Controls and Research Information Systems (ORIS).
JHURA identifies opportunities and partnerships, facilitates the submission of sponsored project proposals on behalf of JHU, negotiates and executes agreements and sub agreements, provides coordinated advice and guidance regarding applicable rules and regulations, and assists faculty, staff, and students in proper stewardship of the University’s sponsored projects.
