There is plenty of parking, rarely more than 5 cars at a time during the afternoon. However, there is nothing special about the park and the loop takes 10-15 minutes to complete. I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit unless you live close by or want a quick walk with your dog!
Fun little park tucked away! Took my boys 6 and 8 for a little playground action and ended up walking along the trail to check out the creek ans watch the groups play Frisbee golf. Lots to do!
Over 15 years this was a 2 star place that went to a 5 and has now gone down to a 2.5 for me. The environment has gotten a better, but they have completely taken away everything that made it so wonderful. Money sometimes doesn't understand beauty kinda thing. Instead of a unique tower in the horizon, with trees all around, beautiful fields, and an amazing river to sit by and relax. It's now become a park where you can only see massive buildings and a busy highway. My connection might make me jaded but still a shame to see it happen, I do understand the direction Downingtown is going I still don't completely agree.
That playground needs much. Stones shows and dangerous for kids
This is a nice little park by the train station. It also has walkways leading to Kerr Park. My daughter liked to ride her bike around here when she was learning to ride because the path is relatively smooth and flat.
We live right down the street from this park and go there on the norm with our daughter. She loves the playground and the trails are pretty great. Love seeing the new upgrades and looking forward to seeing more.
Love it just awesome walk and beautiful scenery
A 13+ acre park in Downtown Borough along the east branch of the Brandywine Creek. The park provides soccer fields and has a ton of soccer nets. It has a picnic pavilion and the Dave Hatt Pavillion, two Port-a-Pottys, a basketball court, two swings, a playground and a walking path. The walking path does a loop and also connects by a path to the Milltown bridge behind the Dowiningtown Borough Police Department over the Brandywine Creek to the path to Kerr Park. The path also has a learning section with things like hop scotch. Distance markers would be a nice addition to the park.
Cute little area nice, nice Gymboree for the children to play on nice size Pavilion to sit under and a grill
We went tubing down the Brandywine. We parked in the parking lot and dropped in next to the park. Some young guys were playing basketball. I asked them who was winning. They all said they were. Funny!
