JonJohn’s Bakery is a licensed home bakery specializing in classic American home style desserts. We are family owned and located in Rochester, NY, in the town of Greece near the beautiful shores of Lake Ontario. Baker Jonathan and spouse John, a special educator by trade, founded this cottage industry in 1999 to create down home sweets “Just like Grandma’s” for all to taste and enjoy. Our award winning Beyond Chocolate Cake, Peanut Butter Balls and Chocolate-chip cookies are just a few of our celebrated specialties. JonJohn's Bakery is proud to participate in three summer season Farmer's Markets in Rochester; Brighton, South Wedge and West Side. We are proud to raise our own brood of hens, organically fed and with access to ranging daily. We gratefully use the fresh organic eggs in our desserts and home cooking daily.
Jonathan’s maternal grandmother, Hazel is the inspiration for JonJohn’s delicious creations. She was a strong woman of faith, compassion and stability who believed that no matter what happened in a family’s life, good cooking would make things seem better. That conviction is not only reflected in our products, but also in our relationship with our customers. We hope every purchase will be special to our patrons, and we only use the freshest and finest ingredients in all of our desserts.
Since founding the business, JonJohn’s has been twice awarded the Rochester Epilepsy Foundation’s “People’s Choice” Award, and the Food link Festival of Food “Best Taste” award for their products. Long a favorite stop at the Rochester Public Market, we now create specialties to order and Feature our products for all to enjoy during the Summer Farmer's Market season in Rochester. They can be picked up by appointment or delivered. We are proud to say that we owe our success to the word-of-mouth support of our clients.
