Jordan Lake Rowing Club was founded by two time British Olympian Jim Walker and his wife Heidi with generous support from our Founding Families, and local rowing clubs - Chaos Rowing Club, Carolina Masters, UNC Rowing and UNC Men's Crew - and our venue partners Crosswinds Marina at Jordan Lake and Lake Crabtree County Park. As we always say - it takes a village!
Our goal is to bring the sport of rowing to as many youth in the Triangle area as possible. In 2016 we started our first year of Novice racing. In 2017 we launched our Varsity and Middle School rowing programs. We are a start-up rowing club and being a part of Jordan Lake Rowing Club provides team members with a unique opportunity to be a part of growing the sport of rowing in NC and being involved in building a rowing club from the start.
We welcome youth from 6th grade - 12th grade, no experience is necessary. We hold regular learn to row mornings for youth and adults and integrate new youth rowers onto the team at the start and end of each season.
