I came in to get a tux for an upcoming wedding. Paul initially seemed helpful, but quickly realized he was just another salesman trying to get me to spend more than I wanted. The other staff were helpful, but I would avoid Paul if you decide to shop here.
Paul is a gem! He truly has a magic touch when it comes to putting things together. My husband hates shopping but Paul made if fun! He arranged several styles from formal to casual wear for him. We both truly enjoyed his southern charm and his professionalism. I would definitely recommend this location just because of Paul. I also wanted to mention a young man named Robert who also helped us. Thank you both.
Nice location, so maybe it's the reason for a bit higher price. Polite store manager and cashier, specifically if not that much crowded, you have full attention and get help by the store manager and assistants. A little pushy, but not in a aggressive manner. Quality? Good. From mid range to near high tier , you can find nice formal and semi formal , and business style clothing. Of course if you can afford a full custom made/tailor made suit, it would be perfect, but still worth a visit.
IZZO a store manager at the Reston location was fantastic. I needed a suit for a funeral the next day. I am a Plumber and I was in between my calls, I was a little dirty from work but it was the only time I had to shop for the suit. IZZO did not judge what I was wearing at the time and helped me pick out a great suit at a great price. The suit was ready within a few hours for pick up since I needed it the next day! I was in and out within an hour which I was very pleased. I got multiple complaints at the funeral and I will definitely go back to see IZZO for my future suits!
**DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY** I recently paid over $400 for a custom suit as part of a wedding party in August 2021. I wore the suit for the wedding and the very next time I wore the suit in December of 2021 the pants ripped. I immediately went back to the store to show them what happened. The store manager was very rude and told me there was nothing they could do about it. I will never shop here again.
The man who helped me reeked of cigarettes while he was measuring me for a shirt. After he determined my size we went to pick one out. I asked to try it on and he was a real pill about it. He made a snotty show of taking the pins out of the shirt and made a point to say young people always want to try clothes on not hiding his irritation The shirt was way to big and left too much room around my wrists and neck. He couldn't have gotten the measurements right .
I’ve had pants rip that fit loosely more than anything and I had to pay for another $200-$300 pair of dress pants, zippers come apart after being “fixed”, which I was charged for, the staff is unfriendly and not very knowledgeable for what they are selling. Use to love Jos A. Bank before being to this location a few times too many. Go to INDOCHINO if you need formal attire. Stay clear of this Jos A. Bank location.
I came into Jos A. Bank to get a few pieces to build out my wardrobe as I leave the military and had a wonderful experience. In particular, Anne was so kind to show me many options and guide me through the whole experience. If you go during a sale you can get some really nice pieces at a significant discount. You really can't be quality sport coats for $40.
Please know up front, I don’t post reviews. This was necessary and after reading the last post on google maps from Mr. Srinivas Kothuri I felt it best to present an opposite view of a similar scenario. I wanted socks, only socks and it had appeared that JAB no longer carries the half socks I have come to love. Mine has lasted over 20 years !!!.... Socks, really? Yep I had time and started looking at colors and patterns as I have only two suits that are getting smaller by the event. I witnessed Paul “ a guy” who was doing a lot of talking; He was explaining a lot about suits to a young adult with his dad getting the first suit experience. I can tell you; I learned a lot by listening and needed to hear it. Paul assisted me when they checked out. I was greeted with enthusiasm and expertise from start to finish. His knowledge gave me some thoughtful tips and inspiration in the most professional but matter of fact way that I needed to receive to understand the importance. I purchased more, comfortably out of my comfort zone when all I wanted was socks. I came in knowing exactly what I wanted but not what I was needing. I am not one to add to my wardrobe but a piece at a time when needed. By the time I left, Paul had helped me build a new suit wardrobe! His assistance went above and beyond my expectations and made me feel the need to share with the guy at Starbucks, the guy at the hotel and I intend to continue passing his name and location of your store for some time to come. This talented guy should be used in any sort of training program to provide JAB team members the knowledge he has.
