My son was 3 when he started at Journey ABA, he was non verbal, did not respond to noise,could not make eye contact, and was not potty trained..we tried public schools and they failed us and I didn’t think my child was getting the proper tools to help him succeed so I withdrew him from public schools, at that time I was feeling defeated. Until I met Claudia the ownerand everything changed. For the first time I felt like my concerns were heard, my feelings were justified, and that she truly cared about my son… a year and half later my son was talking, potty trained, express his needs and wants, making eye contact, and no joke reading out loud. My son is now eight years old. Now he plays with others. He can have a conversation, he makes eye contact. He can spell words that my 13-year-old has a hard time selling .. he can read chapter books He is a totally different child.. even at the hardest of times that my family was going through Claudia the owner was always understanding, loving and compassionate… I truly can’t express how amazing and how thankful I am that I have this ABA Center in my life. I truly know with all of my heart that the staff at journey loves my son like family. And we love them.
Journey Therapy has been life changing for my son and our family. We have tried many different centers over the years and none of them were up to par. My son has been going to Journey for a year now and has learned so much. He learns daily living life skills, he learns how to properly handle situations without having bad behaviors. They also have a specialist right at the center that helps him with speech and feeding. Proper data is collected to make sure your child is hitting goals. The staff are professional, friendly, and willing to help with anything you need. The kids enjoy being there and have a lot of fun. My son has loved every tech he has had. My son is 10 and has had difficulties with food since he was very little. We have tried over the years OT, and different doctors that have not been able to get him to eat anything. Other places would literally give up and pretty much tell us to give him breakfast essentials. That was never good enough for us. As soon as my son started journey, a professional was paired with him to help with feeding. My son now eats more than just breakfast essentials and pop tarts. I never thought he would be eating pizza, chicken nuggets, grilled cheese, and willingly trying new foods. The results are incredible and that’s what you get when you put your child into ABA with people who care and WANT to help. They truly all love what they do and we are beyond thankful to have our son with them. My husband and I also like how often they reach out to see how things are going at home, if we have any concerns. The BCBAs work very hard to make sure things are going the way they should be at a center. To the staff, thanks again for all that you do. We appreciate you all and have seen nothing but great results.
Don't look any further. This is the best ABA center you could ever want for your child. I know there are horror stories regarding ABA so I was very nervous and scared. I started looking at places and this one popped up. Once you meet with Claudia the owner and her staff, they are some of the sweetest, most caring people you will ever meet and will put you right at ease. My daughter started going here after she was diagnosed at the age of 3 with Autism. She remained there until she was 5 which we honestly were so sad to leave the clinic but very happy as well because she no longer needed services. The owner, Miss Claudia is just the best. There is not even words or thanks I could give her on all her help, comfort and guidance through everything. She loves your children like her own a, truly cares and wants to help. It's all play based. My daughter had a terrible experience at a previous clinic in Davison and she did not do well there whatsoever. This place was a godsend to us and our daughter. She loved it here, as did we. Everyone comments on how far she has came and I credit it to this therapy center!
Post this. Three years ago our daughter was diagnosed with autism. We had no idea what that meant for our sweet girl. We were told she might never speak. While we were terrified of our journey ahead we choose to fight by providing her with every therapy possible. We wanted to be able to look back and know that we did everything we could. Today our sweet Brynn is thriving thanks to these two ladies and so many others who have surrounded her with love and patience. Brynn attends preschool and can follow directions like her peers, Brynn attends dance class and participated with the group, Brynn has friends and is going to do big things. This girl is unstoppable. Today was an emotional day for us as today Brynn graduated from ABA behavior therapy. Brynn has been with Journey for a little over two years. Brynn has been with Sierra for 3 years. The trajectory of Brynn’s life is forever changed for the better because of these two. Thank you to Journey/Claudia for providing Brynn with the coping tools and quality therapy to be successful in a world that does not always cater to a person with autism. Thank you to Sierra for the love and grace and hundreds of hours of quality therapy and time you have given Brynn. Our lives are forever chanced. You have left a handprint on all of our hearts. Claudia is an exceptional person and really cares about the children . She goes out of her way to make your child feel special. I recommend this for any children that needs services
I am not sure how well this place works with the kids due to the fact that I was told I had a job there one day and told I didn’t have a job there the next. I was offered a position, called the next day saying “I would love the position” and called everyday for a week to set up a time to go over paperwork and never heard from the hiring person, finally heard a week & a half later that I didn’t have the job because she “didn’t hear from me” even though I called everyday asking to speak with her and everyone said “she’ll call you back” and she never did. Not sure who is at fault but the communication sounds lousy at this place within the workers. Also extremely disappointed because I went a week and a half not looking for a job as I was told I got the position at this place. If the adults can’t even communicate I can’t imagine how they’re working with the kids.
I am highly disappointed with how they have handled my daughter. They request ridiculous hours to where my child will not have time to be just that a child
We have just started with Journey and we love it so so much! We are receiving such high quality therapy for my daughter with autism. The owner goes above and beyond to give my daughter everything she needs plus more.
Love this center!!! They are very committed to all the children and the families of the children. My daughter has excelled since receiving ABA services. Feel blessed to have found this center.
