I received amazing customer service from Aniya! She was so kind and patient!. My family and I visited the store around 8pm and tried on quite a few shoes. Aniya helped with ease and remained kind the entire time. We did end up buying every shoe she helped us with! Thank you so much for your patience.
I really enjoy the shoe collection. And I hope the Tanger realize what an awesome store Journeys is. I have the variety collection of spongebob vans collection. Just recently I purchased the camo vans and I love them. What I will say the staff is phenomenal when it comes to customer satisfaction they help, and when you can't find them they order them online and you can have them shipped
shady business tactics: do not trust their return policy! they will tell you that you can return shoes as long as they're not worn outside, but when you actually go to do so they will try to find even the smallest glimmer of proof that they were worn even when they were not. I tried to return a pair which they refused to accept because they looked "worn" since the soles were "dirty" - there were the teeniest bits of dust on them that probably accumulated from when I tried them on in the store. i know for a fact that i never wore them outside; they were literally sitting in the box since i bought them! i talked to who i believed were the co-manager I think his name was Luke? and manager and they were both very dismissive and condescending when i tried to explain that whatever "dirt" they saw was barely visible and must have accumulated from when i walked around in them in the store to try them out. they did not appear to be able to address that specific point as their argument was that it would not get dirty from just trying them out in the store. how clean do they think their floors are? so congratulations, you guys kept the $60 you made off of me, but i will not be returning to this establishment and will be warning everyone i know from giving you their patronage.
Guilt tactics. I stopped by looking for a particular shoe and I wanted to try them out to see how they felt. The shoes were great but didn’t have the support I was looking for. Therefore, I decided not to purchase them. At first, we were greeted by one gentleman and he helped us get the size I needed. He went to the back and a different young man came out with the shoes and 2 brand new pair of socks the colorful ones with the pretty designs which they offered so that I could try on the shoe. Long story short, it wasn’t what I was looking for so my boyfriend and I said thank you for your help and proceeded to head to the exit. I certainly didn’t appreciate what happened next. Both gentlemen start giving me the guilt trip, saying things such as “come on” or “you’re going to make me cry” and the first gentleman didn’t say much, he grunted and made a sad face. We apologized I don’t know what for and then after a few minutes we left. We were walking and the initial gentleman came out running after us to ask for the pair of socks back. I left the rest of the pack of socks at the store and assumed they wouldn’t want to take my dirty socks for, like what for? Do they wash them? Do they give them to other customers? I don’t appreciate a sales person trying to make me feel guilty for not making a purchase. I was going to take a walk around the outlet and circle back and buy them but needless to say, I will not be shopping here. Stay away if you want to avoid shady business practices.
So to begin my story I have been looking for these shoes which is an exclusive journeys color way of the Tasman ugg slippers. I traveled from upstate and was visiting New York City and surrounding areas for the holiday. We’ve checked every journeys within a 100 mile radius of the city and came across deer park journeys that said they were in stock online. we were hesitant driving blind eye there which was an 1hr and 30 min est travel time which in reality with traffic was about 2 and half hours. Anyways before that I called the store right when they opened at 10 am asking for the specific shoe which was listed in stock online. An employee which I never got her name answered the phone with a groggy not very welcoming voice and asked what we were calling for like we were bothering her. We gave her the item number and description of what we were looking for and we’re out on hold for about 15 minutes before someone else answered the phone with the same question of what we wanted. So after all that was said and done they said they had that pair and there was only one left in the size I was looking for. I told the employee to please put them on hold that I am about an hour or so away. Wasn’t a problem asking that, so excited me I left my family as they were exploring the city and having fun without me I began the drive there. So after arriving 2 or so hours later i went to the counter and asked for the shoes on hold. So the employee which now I know is the manager of the store I guess was the groggy voiced helpless lady that answered the phone prior to this awful experience. She tells me that there is only one shoe and the right shoe is nowhere to be found. Which would you think that before you try to sell something over the phone and a costumer is traveling from so far away that you would check to see that the product was complete, well I guess that isn’t how they run their place over their. So just overall upset with the situation I asked if there was anything they can do for me a coupon for my trouble I would literally would have settled for like a 10percent voucher or something to help ease the heart break of what I went through. Nothing was said she stood there with a blank face not willing to help me. After paying 30 something dollars in tolls and 50 something dollars and gas I turned out with nothing and the day was over and my family was done exploring over the lousy communication and poor customer service that journeys deer park provided me.
Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Decent selection of several brands of shoes for both guys and girls with a handful of exclusive styles and colorways. They have cool t shirts and hats too. Lots of funky and bright colors. Usually not very crowded or busy in there
Great store, great staff. Got a nice pair of shoes for a pretty good price; if you want cheap and fashionable shoes, you wanna go here.
Helpful crew... Although they were all kids. Took a bit to get their attention and help, but once we did, they were great!
It was great! Found my Stan Smith shoes I was looking for and the gentleman that took care of me was great.
The sale rack actually has pretty nice kicks. Any time of year. Friendly staff & manager.
