JS Counseling Services, LLC is a local Manistee business owned and operated by Manistee native and Licensed Professional Counselor, Jennifer Sielski. Jennifer has years of experience working with children, families, individuals and groups within Manistee, Mason, Lake, Oceana, and Kent counties.
Jennifer received her Master's Degree in Counselor Education through Western Michigan University and studied psychology at the University of Tennessee. She completed an internship in school counseling at Manistee High School, Casman Alternative Academy, and KND Elementary.
For years, Jennifer has worked with children, families, and adults that have presented concerns with attention, behavior, impulsivity, depression, anxiety, sleep disturbances, grief, LGBTQ support, substance use, emotion regulation, and interpersonal communication/relationships. She has had extensive training in child and adolescent assessments and Trauma Focused-CBT, working with children who have experienced trauma.
Jennifer had the idea to start her own practice, JS Counseling Services LLC, after she was treated for breast cancer in 2015. She wanted to provide a judgment free space for others who were diagnosed with cancer to feel supported.
