62.5 and 28 mile bicycle ride that leads cyclists through the beautiful pastoral roads in Pendleton District. Hosted by the Agricultural Museum of SC
Pendleton District Commission invites all cyclists to participate in the 23nd Jubilee Joy Ride, Saturday, April 4, 2015, sponsored by Orange and White: A Product of Independent Mail. The ride is held in conjunction with Historic Pendleton Spring Jubilee and begins from the Bart Garrison Agricultural Museum of South Carolina grounds.
Carefully planned loops will take you onto some of the most scenic roads in Anderson County as well as SC Century Farms, which have been owned by the same family for 100 years or more. The 28-mile loop explores quiet country roads and travels through the communities of Sandy Springs and La France. The Metric Century (62.5 miles) route starts at the end of the 28-mile loop and adds another 35-mile loop through the rolling hills of northern Anderson County. All rides will be SAGed until the last rider is in. Rest stops with snacks and drinks will be available on both routes.
The Walker Century Farm Market will be open for the Joy Ride. Purchases can be delivered back to the Agricultural Museum for pick-up at the end of the Ride.
