I had the best morning with my 16 yr old daughter. We arrived around 530am and sat quietly as the sun rose. There's nothing like the feeling. We were on the wrong side for a sunrise but we made it fun regardless. We always do. We hiked all the trails and they were beautiful. We were the only 2 there besides a jogger who didn't stick around. I wish we could go and start our day like this everyday.
What a cool place to find. The drive up is nice and easy. The view is really amazing and spans numerous mountain tops. There are a few short trails that run around the overlook, all fairly easy and well cleared. I really hate the fact people spray paint graffiti all over some of the rock faces.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
This is a MUST SEE if your in the area, the beauty cannot really be caught in a pic and I would fail miserably if I attempted to put it in words, you really must EXPERIENCE it first hand--it almost made me cry!! I thought the drive was a bit confusing-- even with the GPS, but totally worth it. Fantastic and free!
Lovely park with excellent views and a few small trails to wander! Spoke to a few locals who were also there and they told us about a walking trail guide you can find for the park that includes trails and roadway walks to tons of views within this park and the surrounding area. The park was incredibly well maintained and had a few porta-johns for bathrooms too. Highly recommend if you are looking for a pleasant stop with a view and not a lot of intense hiking to get to it.
The weather was perfect for taking in this beautiful view! The clouds were beautiful, the air was warm and still, and there was hardly anyone there when we stopped to enjoy the awesome view.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitPrice for adult entryFree
Love that you can see beautiful views right from the parking lot. The trails are older kid friendly- there were steps and rocks and climbing involved. But it’s super easy and not to far from Grandads which is a plus!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
Worth the short steep drive if you're in Hendersonville and have never been. The trails are short and the view is good, but not amazing. It wasn't crowded when we were there, so that was nice. There was some graffiti on the lower rocks below the lookout.
Very nice place for relaxation with mountain views. The parking lot is very well maintained and there are few small hiking trails. Great for any ages to enjoy breathtaking views.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo wait
Lots of curves on the drive up to this hidden gem. Great view and easy access for those unable to walk great distances. There is a bench to sit and area for a picnic or concert. There is also a trail and area to climb on the rocks.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitPrice for adult entryFree
Very pretty view, but a very curvy drive up. There are a couple of small walking paths/trails that we didn’t do. The legend of the rock was something I hadn’t heard before, very interesting!
