We had a great camping trip here. We reserved the two group sites so it was away from anyone else. They had water and toilets at both locations. We had a great time swimming and paddle boarding at the lake nearby. It would have been 5 stars but we were right next to the golf course. The lawn mowers woke us up both mornings super early. Restrooms: Clean pit toilets stocked with TP.
Stayed at 138. Beautiful state park and site with awesome views of the res and high desert. However as a frequent and experienced camper in CO, a friendly warning for fellow campers - while the CG is patrolled occasionally by park rangers, the CG rules are not well enforced and many campers don't show the courtesy to follow them; and there is no Camp Host to help. Fire pit was full of cans and bottles when we arrived. Generators are used a lot by the large RVs, and quiet time 10pm-6am is not enforced or adhered too - had generators and very loud music playing well into the night past 12am! for 4 nights in a row. People - please show some camping courtesy!!! Definitely not the camping experience we'd promote as a local. We may come again but mid-week and hope for a quieter experience.
Stayed at 115 and had a great time. Being next to the restroom came with a little more foot traffic, but it was expected. The kids appreciated being that close. Sites are well spaced from each other. 10/10 enjoyed with 0 complaints. Restrooms: Well taken care of.
Love this campground visit every year since 1996 plenty of space in every site Pinic tables with cover access to fishing and plenty of trails including paved trails
As a campground it’s not terrible. It’s pretty and has a nice view of the lake. The fishing opportunities here aren’t the best. There’s very little spots to safely fish. I’m not sure if this is just because of when I went but there was a lot of trash. It surprised me because it’s a state park. The restrooms also weren’t in the greatest condition. Playground: I found no playground near by.
I love this reservoir and camping at Arkansas point is a great experience. We camped at juniper Breaks this time and there are some campers with no camper etiquette. Stayed on Friday and Saturday night and got minimal sleep due to extremely loud music and super intoxicated neighboring campers.
Nice place with lake Pueblo in the backyard and nice bike trial. One point, generator sould be prohibited. 2 neighbor ran generator almost all day and all night.
Campsite 174 was wonderful! Great view and very peaceful. Just remember, no hookups for RV. We will definitely be back.
There are a nice restrooms that are always clean. No hot water but plenty of water . Beautiful area with lovely trees. Easy access to Lake Pueblo both on foot and by car. The bike path runs right past the campgrounds and is easily accessible.
Not much shade.. rocky.. and was super windy.. didnt call for rain but sprinkled lightly.. nice views. No bites for fish in the coves
