Just Family, Inc. is a state - licensed provider of adult day health care services.
An adult day health care center provides a place for qualifying persons to receive care during the day. Good candidates for adult day health care services include, but is not limited to the following:
• persons who live alone, but may have trouble taking their medications, getting around in the house safely, preparing food for themselves or performing their own personal hygiene;
• persons who are not safe to stay home alone or cannot prepare their meals or take their medications, but live with someone who works outside the home;
• persons who are not safe to stay home alone or cannot prepare their meals or take their medications and live with someone who may need to leave the home at times to run errands, keep appointments, etc.
Just Family is staffed with licensed practical nurses and other staff who work together with the physician to address the individual’s medical and health care needs. Nurses can give or assist with medications, do wound care, check blood sugar levels, and teach participants about their medical conditions.
The center also provides a program of activities at least twice a day, as well as exercises to help maintain/improve healthy functioning. A wide range of activities to address fine and gross motor functions, cognition, memory, self-esteem, hand-eye coordination, reasoning and other functions are offered. In addition, outings (field trips) are provided periodically.
The cost of adult day health care services is covered by Medicaid for those persons who receive Medicaid authorization. The center will assist with the paperwork required to get approval.
Persons can also pay privately for adult day health care services.
To assist with the enhancement of the participant's everyday life on a physical, emotional, and cognitive level by creating a home away from home environment, while enabling the participant to remain in the community and allowing families and caregivers to continue caring for their loved one.
