Just Pups

My family just purchased a maltese mix from Just Pups. She is friendly to strangers and other dogs and loves to play. When we took her to the vet recommended by the store, the vet told us she was very healthy. The store was very clean, and the staff was very nice and helpful. There were many cute puppies to choose from, and I happy to hear that none of them are from puppy mills. I can tell they take great care of the puppies. I am glad we found this store, and I am definitely suggesting this place to our friends.

I wish there was zero rating. This place is horrible. I was sold a sick puppy on 2/13/16. Never it was mentioned that puppy was sick and undergoing treatment. I was told that I cannot take the puppy home that day itself because if NJ law that all puppies need to be quarantined and will be released by a vet on Wednesday. On Tuesday, we called to set-up a time to pickup and the voice mail was never returned. I called again on Friday 2/19 and was told that the puppy was sick and was not released by the vet. We still visited the store to see our puppy and the placed was being raided by health inspectors. One of the employees kept insisting that we must leave and upon hearing the commotion, 3 inspectors came out and said that since we have paid the deposit we should stay. We were informed by the inspectors that our puppy was taken in a truck to be isolated from others as he is really sick. I have demanded a full refund of the deposit.

I read all the negative reviews prior to my visit but decided to give them a chance. What did I find upon arrival?? A clean, fresh smelling store; all pups looked happy and healthy, with all of their cages and pens clean. We decided on a female Dachshund. She was the happiest little pup with a nice, shiny black coat. What a wonderful addition to our family she is. The pup was loved and well cared for by the staff before purchase. All of my friends and neighbors commented on what a sweet and friendly pup she is. The staff of Just Pups was friendly and helpful. They do not allow guests to pet the animals unless they sanitize first and are confined to a private area. The health and safety of the pups are priority here. We will be purchasing another Doxie after new years and will "DEFINITELY" be purchasing her from "Just Pups" of East Hanover.

Despite the last reviewer claiming sick dog, yes they had a outbreak of kennel cough. Guess what? It happens! All pet stores and animal shelters suffer this pretty regularly. This is why Just Pups offers you the free vet visit @ multiple participating vets for 2 weeks post purchase. They treated my dog with golden gloves, she coughed once and they kept vigil over my precious German Shepherd all throughout their quarantine, and after she came home I took advantage of the vet visit to treat kennel cough... People pay attention to your dogs, just like us intervening early in a illness is sooo important. My dog is happy, on the mend, and if I had to do it all over again, it'd be at just pups East Brunswick . Oh and the whole tangent people went on about management being rude is completely untrue. The manager, assistant manager, staff AND OWNER were up front, polite and willing to help. Remember to have a decent attitude with everyone and you'll be surprised how nice everyone can be

Having had dogs my whole life, I bought the most amazing Yorkie puppy from their East Hanover location. She is a healthy, fantastic puppy. Everyone loves her even my vet who says she was a find. I couldn't be happier. I wanted to play with their pups until I found the perfect match for me. They let me. Thank you Just Pups. Believe me don't hesitate to go there and find your baby. I hate all these other reviews that are just not true. I have told them to use me as a reference. I couldn't be happier.

If people are so ignorant to go to a place like this to buy a puppy mill puppy then they have no right to complain when they get a sick dog. Adopt don't shop. While inside this place the staff obviously gets Commission. What they should do is go across the street to the Mount Pleasant Animal Shelter and rescue a dog or puppy. And if you do want a purebred dog from a breeder go online and do your research find a reputable breeder

I understand this place has received some negative review by previous customers and that's great that you can share your opinion. However; people should consider against buying their dogs from retail chains such as this. Please consider a shelter first. If you really love animals as you appear to you should consider shelters. If everyone purchased from shelters these retail places would not exist to mistreat animals.

You can go to Facebook on 'South Jersey pets for sale' and 'North Jersey Pets for sale' and you can find same breeds for half the price maybe even less. People like you who have had litters of pups or who specialize in breeding certain breeds who sale their pets. You can find Bulldogs who are up to date with vaccinations and a lot of them come with AKC papers and you can personally go and visit the home were the pups are growing and a lot of the times their parents are present. Do not buy from this store not only are you waisting thousands of dollars on a dog that you can get for about a hundred dollars and with better health conditions. I bought my second dog on South Jersey for sale drove two hours but it was worth it. My puppy is healthy and has never been sick once and only got him for $200. Shihtzu mix Teddy Bear breed Seriously people go to your local shelters or visit this pages. You will find so many types of breeds and loving people who want good homes for them. Don't waist your money on this place, i worked for them and the dog I purchased granted he's healthy now but got sick more than 3 times while in the store.

Worst puppy store I have ever been too!! STAY AWAY!!! Found a puppy that I fell in love with and they wanted $1600 for a puppy mill Boston terrier! I had asked several times if they could go down on the price because I really loved the dog and she said "no because it is a newer puppy" so if it was a puppy that's been there they would give a discount? Every other puppy store I have been too always would go down on the price but apparently these people think they are going to get top dollar for these puppies. Glad to be taking my business somewhere else!

My family purchased a puppy from Just Pups. As soon as we took him home, we made the first vet visit with the vet they suggested. We then took him a few days later to another vet for more vaccinations. This vet diagnosed my dog with Girardia, and Kennel cough, which he got from the pet place. We were told and given a certificate stating the puppy was unfit for sale. I have two young children at home, and this puppy disease can be contagious. We contacted Just Pups immediately and faxed over all the information about the puppy's condition. I called day after day. We received no return call or email for several days. The store manager was helpful, but had to send our information to the district manager or owner not sure, and await review of our claim. It has been 2 months & we have not heard back. The employees there are very friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about puppies. The only issue is with the management associated with Just Pups. The forms given to us state that they should respond within 14 days, not 2 months. Not pleased with the way they handle their business. Very unprofessional. I will not refer anyone to this establishment.
