We offer a fun, safe, informative & interactive training experience for dogs and their owners. You will learn to work with your dog through numerous obstacles and controlled situations. Many of our clients are training for IPO, Mondio Ring and PSA dog sports. All breeds are welcome.
Established in 1995.
Larry started his dog career over 20 years ago. Larry had the opportunity to train with numerous dog breeds. He started learning dog sport like Schutzhund (now called IPO), Mondio Ring and PSA because the foundation is obedience, a canine sound mind & stability (good inherent temperament) and athleticism of the canine. The dog sport world also was very community based and involved young & old and many women. The people involved in dog sport were having fun and it was contagious. Dog sport was not just a guy thing.
In 2001, Larry became an animal control officer for the City & County of San Francisco. During his 10 yr tenure at SF Animal Control, he became the Sergeant of Field Services and Administrator of the Vicious and Dangerous dog hearings for the San Francisco Police Department.
While employed as an Animal Control Officer, Larry was featured on Animal Planet's Animal Cops television series. You can still see some of the episodes.
K-Nine Comrades is owned and operated by Larry Johnson. K-Nine Comrades is a urban dog training business. We train any type of dog in many different public and private locations. We feel this gives your dog an opportunity to be trained in true to life situations. Our methodology is based on high praise, high reward for both the dog and its owner/s while providing a super fun & community based environment for learning. You'll see us train in downtown South San Francisco in front of City Hall on Grand Ave, in San Francisco's Potrero Hill and in Brisbane. We love our dogs and their humans.
