Hiking, biking, canoeing, fishing and picnicking are favorite park pastimes. At the campground, amenities include the pool, playground, basketball and volleyball courts and a game room - or relax under one of the big, shady oaks. Good KOA to stay at! It was very well maintained and clean. Didn’t use the pool but it looked nice. I love having a little dog park so the dogs can get some energy out and potty without being attached to a leash. Lots of people out enjoying their campfires in the evening, but overall it was quiet in the evenings. It also had a playground for kids that looked good.
The host was super friendly and welcoming. The pool looked great. The sites, however, are super close. Only our picnic table fit between our camper and neighbors. The fire pit was at the point of the site. You would not be able to light a fire any where else, which meant you had no privacy sitting near the road. Most of the sites looked close, but perhaps ours was worse. The site I’d rate a 2 but the hostess a 5.
From the moment we arrived we were extremely impressed! This is the first Campground that we were given a personal escort to our spot. The staff were all super friendly & helpful and they even offer free delivery to your campsite. The campground was very clean including the pool & bathrooms and everyone made you feel right at home. It was also SUPER quiet - HUGE bonus! We'll definitely be back!
Reserved the deluxe cabin a few months back, and completed my stay today. it was clean and cozy. They have complimentary coffee in their main office, but if you want coffee first thing make sure to bring your own coffee maker. All the staff were friendly from the moment we pulled in. When we needed something, the staff were prompt, quick and most importantly - always friendly. There was a propane grill, a nice fire pit, with a swing nearby and also a swing on the front porch. Very great service and awesome, helpful staff. The campground was quiet and peaceful. I think everyone should come here if they can. Rooms: It was clean and cozy Nearby activities: Restaurants, Kankakee River state park, shopping in nearby Kankakee Safety: It’s a safe, quiet area surrounded by farmland
This was our 1st time tent camping with 5 kids ages 3-14 and we had a wonderful experience. Friendly staff and clean facilities and the store has reasonable prices. The kids loved the pool and the playground and of course the wagon ride.
We spent a couple of nights at this well run KOA and enjoyed our visit. When we pulled in, an employee greeted us and escorted us directly to our site. We didn't even need to go inside. This has never happened to us at any RV park before!. Our spot was clean, level, had good water pressure and good voltage at the power pedestal. There are trees in some sites, but we had a good view of the sky for using our Starlink system. We used the laundry in the main building. All three of the machines were clean and operating properly. We'd stay here again. P.S. If you have pups, splurge on them and get the site with the "Paws Pen". It's huge and your doggos will love you for it.
A great location surrounded by trees. Low to no noise from roads or airport. Met outside office, already checked in, escorted to site. Level concrete slab. Nice!!!!!
Located a few miles from the freeway, this quiet campground provided a good place for us to stay in our 30' motorhome while we visited Chicago and Indiana Dunes -- each about an hour away. Clean and well maintained, the roads are dirt/gravel and the sites gravel. Our site was in a newer area well-away from the office and amenities -- a five minute walk. Staff was friendly enough. The site was reasonably level and not too close to our neighbors. It's only about 3 miles or so to Kankakee and a Walmart cheaper gas than Love's.
Staff should get 10 stars Full hookups are bossome Internet works perfectly can stream movies Only complaint is the spaces are TIGHT. Maybe 8 feet between us and nextdoor Will likely be back
Super quiet little campground off the beaten path. Friendly staff was available. Things were clean and well kept.Service: 5/5
