The person that I spoke with was the most disrespectful and rude individual of my entire career. I called to report a very serious incident and they not only would not give me any information but they also were very condescending. After being treated this way I asked for her name and she said that she had another call coming in and hung up on me. I have always supported the police but this incident has made me greatly question the level of service the police are providing in Kansas City.
Complaints put in against PO Jared Comfort and Sergeant Komoroski for police misconduct. PO Comfort lied on my police report regarding my assault on April 24th, 2021. Mutually combative? No. Investigation pursued? What investigation? You closed my case two days after the report was made and approved by Sergeant Komoroski. I tried to amend the police report several times, but was told no after being told I could. The Assault Squad of KC never intervened, and Vicki Fisher will not be prosecuted for criminal charges at Municipal Court. Although PO Jared Comfort and PO Spiking assured me she'd be charged and served by the city. Sgt Komoroski watched the dashcam footage from PO Comfort's and determined Vicki Fisher was the obvious aggressor. But you couldn't give me clear response as to why she wasn't arrested on the evening of April 24th, 2021. I just got more excuses. Probable cause? Really? She's White, I'm Black. I know if the roles were reversed, I'd be put in handcuffs and charged with assault. They got a pardon after my complaints were put in at the police complaint office on Woodland Ave. No phone call or meeting from the Internal Affairs Unit. I'm not surprised at this atrocious behavior!
My boyfriend and I were on our way to the movies when we were hit by another car while on a roundabout. I called 911 to file a police report/have officers come to the scene but was told I needed to go to a police station to file an accident report. We drove to the police station downtown, but were then advised to go to the Linwood Station. When we arrived the officer was on the phone assisting someone else and we were helped by someone not in uniform, I believe her name was Maria. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. Throughout the whole reporting process she acted as if we were an inconvenience. She was more interested in drinking her soda than listening to my explanation of the accident. She cut both myself and boyfriend off multiple times while we were explaining the situation. I’m lucky to say that I probably will never have to go there again, but i feel sorry for the people that depend on her for assistance. She was not a good representation of what law enforcement stands for.
My wife was pushed into a street and almost got run over while she was trying to stop a theft from occurring on the plaza. Police security told her to go to this location to make a report. When she got there, the front desk people were nice, but the officers were so rude to her. She waited 3 hours for an officer to show up so she could make the report, but the officer just yelled at her instead for wasting time. I can't imagine how it feels to be literally shoved in front of traffic, wait a long time to make a report, and then for the police to get mad at the victim and not the thief. That's just so messed up.
I had to go in today to make a report about an accident. The sweet lady at the desk Ms Winstead was so helpful, understanding, caring, and very patient even though she was facing a busy and chaotic morning herself. I really hope this gets back to you ma’am but I just wanted to say thank you for being so wonderful and I hope your day is getting better. I know your job isn’t an easy one but you ma’am are doing an amazing job with a cheery attitude.
My family and I recently attended the Big 12 Tourney and had a wonderful time at the games and across the street at the square. The reason we will never attend another event is not because of sprint but because of the incident that occurred later. After the games we spent some time with some friends having a couple of beers and talking, when it became time to head home we decided to call our son to come and pick us up. He drove up and picked us up and we hadn't gone 100 yards and we were in a check point. We weren't to concerned because our son was driving and he hadn't been drinking. Apparently that doesn't matter in KC Mo, he was asked to get out of the car and take several sobriety test which he passed. At that point he was told he was under arrest and handcuffed for DUI. We were told nothing except to stand in a 4' x 4' area. He told the police numerous times he hadn't been drinking but to no avail. Finely he said can I take a breath test, which he did and was proven to be sober. No - "I'm sorry" for trying to Intimidate him just "cut him loose". I will not spend money any place that allows people doing nothing wrong to be treated in that matter. I'm sorry and I know the $1200 that my family spent doesn't mean a whole lot, but it's the point that's important. You would think all the killings that occur in KC MO. every week they would have more important things to do.
The lady who answers the phone calls is rude and doesn’t even have the decency to answer relating questions. She hangs up the phone without saying goodbye and is ultimately rude.

Called to ask about the legality of using an air gun to kill rats. The officer was professional and knowledgeable. He advised me that the air gun is legal but that I want to inform my neighbors so as not to frighten them. Great advice
Showed up in a timely fashion - ~20 minutes for a minor property crime broken garage window, and ~2 minutes or less after a gunshot incident. Didn't talk to them during the gunshot occurrence because it was middle of the night, but the guys who came by for the broken window Nokes and Cisneros were very friendly and professional.
