Whether KSCB students pursue careers as professional dancers or train for their personal satisfaction and enjoyment, they'll gain serious, dedicated training, self-discipline, poise and grace that will benefit them throughout their lives.
Our goal is to provide serious training, levels pre-ballet through advanced (ages 3 and up), sufficient to enable our students to pursue careers as professional dancers. Whether our students study this art form as a career option or for their personal satisfaction and enjoyment, they all gain self-discipline, poise and grace that will benefit them throughout their lives.
As certified trainers in Pilates and Gyrotonic® exercise systems, we incorporate body conditioning for strength, flexibility, coordination and injury prevention for students at all levels. These enhancements of our students’ skills increase their ability to learn to dance.
In addition, our school promises to:
--Evaluate prospective students through a placement audition to determine level.
--Follow a structured curriculum and class syllabus.
--Maintain a professional atmosphere at all levels.
--Offer a scholarship program.
--Provide access to a physician if necessary for possible injuries.
-- Expose students to the entire Classical Ballet Repertoire.
Our curriculum includes classical ballet training and will be augmented by master classes in modern, jazz, flamenco and character.
Community outreach:
In addition to teaching in our studio, we plan to visit schools in the metropolitan area to provide interactive demonstrations. By familiarizing students with the fundamentals of ballet, we hope to instill a curiosity about the art form and encourage children to consider pursuing dance as part of their own artistic and physical fitness goals.
