Located at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College and completed in late 1999, the Goldyne Savad Library Center houses the Mordecai M. Kaplan Library, the Ira and Judith Kaplan Eisenstein Reconstructionist Archives and faculty office space.

Fri 9:00 am - between 3-4:00 pm depending on the time of year
The Mordecai M. Kaplan Library serves the needs of students, faculty and community members. Named after the intellectual founder of Reconstructionist Judaism, the library offers an excellent collection of Judaica and Hebraica resources, Reconstructionist movement publications, computer facilities, electronic resources and ample study space for both hevruta (group) and independent study.
The Kaplan library houses approximately 50,000 books, one-hundred current print journal subscriptions and numerous back-files of journals, and a small collection of music CDs and videos. Computer resources include access to several thousand full-text journals, a number of online and CD-Rom-based databases, Hebrew and English word-processing, and general internet access.
Alumni are welcome to use all of these resources on-site and those living in the Philadelphia area may register to borrow books and CDs and videos. The library’s catalogue is online, easily accessible from the RRC web site or this link: http://rrc.ipac.dynixasp.com. Reference questions are welcome by phone and email for those unable to come to the library in person.
Members of the public are invited to visit the library and may register to borrow library materials.
