I called and left a voicemail to set up an appointment as a new patient for my daughter and I. The receptionist Joyce had a stern tone which is fine I didn't think much of it. She asked me if I called last week I stated no and she said my name sounded very familiar. Which I have no idea why because I've never contacted this dentist. She kept asking me to repeat myself and asked me when the last time I had been to a dentist. I advised her it was within the last year but since I am a new patient I would prefer for one dentist to just have everything done initially. She questioned me hmm and there were no X-rays done? Everything about her tone was just off. I had to tell her I would call back if I considered doing business with them as she was coming off extremely rude. She laughed and I just hung up. I'm not sure why she treated me like this or if she confused me with someone else but it left a REALLY bad taste in my mouth. Will not be going here. Patients especially new patients want to feel welcomed not a bother and this lady did a poor job making me feel comfortable enough to go there.
Dr Karen has been my dentist for many years. She is extremely professional and caring as well as very personable! She’s great at explaining procedures, taking time to assure any questions or concerns are addressed. She has a very reassuring demeanor, which coupled with a good sense of humor helps the time in her chair pass quickly. My husband who was paranoid of dentists due to prior really bad experiences is now comfortable and trusting of her. The entire staff from hygienist and assistants to insurance and scheduling personnel is so friendly and helpful that it makes the entire experience as simple and painless as possible. Which reminds me she gives great shots, which to me was always the worst part of having dental work done.
Everyone at this office - doctors, hygienists, specialists, front desk - are exceptional. Very professional, kind and caring. They are willing to work out budget friendly payment plans when you need a lot of work -like I did. They also take the time to clearly explain procedures, findings, etc. And they've always been very conscious of my time, getting me in and out with very little waiting. I have been a very happy patient of Dr Karen's for over 7 years and I would never consider going anywhere else.
I've been seeing Dr. Izzo for about 15 years. I cannot say enough good things about her and her staff. She is a wonderful, kind and genuinely caring professional. She does everything in her power to make sure that your experience is first-rate; from pain relief, to explaining everything she's doing/needs to do in detail, she is beyond amazing. Never once in all the years going there have I felt "ripped off" and I've seen many dentists over the years, I cannot say that about all of them. On top of that, she's lucky enough to have a phenomenal staff, everyone is clearly happy to be there, and how many people can say that at work! I've left doc practices due to rude staff in the past, so I feel this is SO important! The office folks know their stuff re: insurance and are willing to work with people financially, and the hygienists are absolutely first-rate, every one of them. The fact that the only new faces you ever see there are additions to the staff because of expansion really tells you what a great place it is. If I could give them 10 stars, I would.
My entire family and I have been going here for many, many years! The staff is excellent, Dr. Izzo is amazing, everyone is friendly and helpful! I love it here! I couldn't imagine going to any other practice. I refer all family, friends, and co-workers. They have a new, very clean facility. It doesn't have that creepy, smelly dentist office feel AT ALL.
I am a new patient and I could not be more happy with my experience. EVERYONE who works in this office is patient, kind and gracious. You have a new forever patient!
Dr. Izzo is honest and down to earth. She really seems to genuinely care about her patients. I switched my family of five to this practice last summer and I have no regrets. The staff is great to deal with as well.
My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Izzo for over 20 years, and our 2 children have been her patients since they began dental care 17 years ago. Dr. Izzo is not only very knowledgeable about dentistry, she's also very personable and great with children--and adults! Her office, from the front to the hygenists to the techs, are all very outgoing and helpful. I'd highly recommend her dentistry to anyone who needs dental care.
Great care from Dr. Karen and her staff for over 20 years. Our kids love her as she has cared for their dental health from age 3 on up! Friendly, professional, and puts any worries to rest for our dentist-phobic friends we've referred!
Karen by far is the best dentist I have ever been to. She is funny, friendly, and informative! I moved to Texas for two years, and missed having her as my dentist. Fortunately I have moved back to Illinois, and I will be making a future appointment with her even though she is 40 mins away. Now that's a good dentist!
